Responsibilities & Context:

1. Audit Planning & Strategy

• Develop and implement annual internal audit plans based on risk assessments

• Identify key risk areas and prioritize audit activities

• Align audit strategy with organizational goals

2. Audit Execution

• Oversee and conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits

• Review audit workpapers and ensure quality and accuracy

• Ensure audits are completed within timelines

3. Risk Management & Internal Controls

• Evaluate effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements

• Identify control gaps, fraud risks, and inefficiencies

• Support enterprise risk management (ERM) initiatives

4. Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies

• Monitor adherence to corporate governance standards

• Liaise with external auditors and regulators

5. Reporting

• Prepare and present audit reports to senior management and audit committee

• Highlight key findings, risks, and recommendations

• Track implementation of audit recommendations

6. Team Leadership

• Supervise, mentor, and develop audit team members

• Allocate audit assignments and review performance

• Build a strong, ethical audit culture

7. Process Improvement

• Recommend improvements in business processes and systems

• Promote automation and data analytics in auditing
