Context:
The Assistant Engineer (SMT Workshop) will play a key role in supporting the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production line by ensuring smooth machine operation, process quality, and production efficiency. The position requires hands-on experience with SMT machines and a solid understanding of PCB assembly processes.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain SMT machines (Pick & Place, Reflow Oven, Stencil Printer, SPI, AOI).
Monitor SMT production processes to ensure quality standards.
Troubleshoot SMT defects (solder bridging, misalignment, tombstoning, etc.).
Assist in PCB assembly, component mounting, and rework activities.
Maintain necessary documentation such as BOM, process logs, and machine maintenance records.
Collaborate with the engineering team for process optimization and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with safety rules and maintain 6S standards in the workplace.
