∎ Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting, Master of Business Studies (MBS) in Accounting
∎ M.Com./MBS/MBA in Accounting or Finance from any reputed university.
∎ Professional certifications such as CA (CC), CMA (partially qualified), or ACCA (partially qualified) will be considered an advantage.

∎ At least 10 years of experience in a core accounting role, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar position.
∎ Preference will be given to applicants with experience in a microfinance organization with more than 100 branches.
∎ Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and accounting principles.
∎ Proficiency in VAT & Tax regulations, including the preparation and submission of VAT & Tax returns.
∎ Hands-on experience with financial software and ERP systems.
∎ Advanced skills in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel.Strong analytical skills for evaluating financial data, preparing budgets, and cash flow management.
∎ High level of attention to detail, particularly in payment processing, voucher preparation, and reconciliations.
∎ Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
∎ Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage complex financial processes effectively.
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with different teams and external stakeholders.
∎ Proficiency in both Bangla and English, with typing skills in Bangla (Bijoy) and English for preparing financial documents.
∎ Flexibility to work beyond office hours when required.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Support in developing business plan and budget for Microfinance Programs as per organizational requirements, implement and monitor budgetary control activities.
∎ Follow up of branch office expenses and monthly variance report of the budgeted and actual expenses showing the reasons for variance.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual report as per donor/lender organization and authority requirements.
∎ Maintain liaison with the donor (PKSF), lending organization and Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) regarding financial matter.
∎ Review the findings of the internal, external, donor/lender audit report and makes coordination between program management and financial management.
∎ Collect updated Tax and VAT information amended by National Board of Revenue (NBR) every year and deduct Tax and VAT at source from bills and payments.
∎ Involvement with procurement in consistent with organizational purchase policy and procedure/ process.
∎ Check the bill/voucher in relation with code, budget allocation and definition.
∎ Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all reports, vouchers, schedules, payroll sheets and stock inventories.
∎ Follow organizational policy and procedure (financial manual, human resource policy and donor/lender guidelines) in all level.
∎ Update and input in developing Accounts manual, Audit manual and need base accounts related other policies.
∎ Maintain and ensure the accuracy of organizational asset through preventive measures including physical verification.
∎ Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and reports as & when necessary.
∎ To check Daily Fund Position and to submit it to Head of Accounts.
∎ Preparation of Budget and variance analysis.
∎ Managing Treasury.
∎ To supervise cash counting and to take corrective action on finding any discrepancy.
∎ Checking transactions in Microfin 360.
∎ Ensure timely verification of monthly Bank reconciliation statement by 1st week of following month.
∎ To ensure proper dealing with banks for smooth functioning of credit facilities/renewal etc.
∎ Generate various Management reports for smooth operation of the Department.
∎ Monitoring Petty Cash Transaction & Cash Book of Head Office.
∎ Lead Finance and Accounts Department
∎ Accomplish any other duties as delegated by supervisors.

∎ Job Summary: Manabik Shahajya Sangstha (MSS) is a leading national-level NGO engaged in socio-economic development since 1974 and providing microfinance to over 200,000 people in rural and urban areas with financial support from PKSF, banks, and other financial institutions. The Assistant Director/ Deputy Director (Finance & Accounts) will be responsible for overseeing and managing financial activities related to the Microfinance Programs of Manabik Shahajya Sangstha (MSS). The position involves financial planning, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting while ensuring compliance with relevant policies, donor guidelines, and regulatory requirements. The incumbent will work closely with senior management, donors, and external stakeholders to maintain financial transparency, mitigate risks, and support strategic decision-making. The role also requires strong leadership skills to manage finance teams and ensure efficient execution of financial operations in alignment with MSS’s mission and objectives.
