Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Agriculture/Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)/Animal Husbandry

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Assistant Director is responsible for leading WAVE's development and implementation of its strategic vision for the Agriculture Biodiversity and Value Chain Development program; including development in the fields of sustainable production, marketing, and agriculture technology promotion in programs. The position is also responsible for developing and meeting new program funding targets as well as leading the design and submission of project/program proposals to potential donors and government.
∎ • Develop and direct organizational long-term plan for agriculture programs.
∎ • Provide leadership in identifying, developing and securing new program funding.
∎ • Assure timely and successful implementation of all projects/programs in agriculture.
∎ • Strategic planning as well as identifying and implementing new business opportunities in agriculture.
∎ • Represent WAVE Foundation in all strategic and program matters related to agriculture.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Minimum of ten years relevant experience in agriculture and related fields including business planning, project administration, staff management and achieving tangible financial results in programs financed by the different donors.
∎ Minimum of 7 years' experience with a notable track record of managing project.
∎ Demonstrated ability to design and write agricultural new concept paper and project proposals.
∎ Strong interpersonal, team building, technical and management skills including management of multiple tasks and conflict resolution.
∎ Sound analytical skills, including ability to understand contemporary development concepts, themes and issues and present them clearly and effectively.
∎ He/she should have a wide network of professional contacts with national and international organizations.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communications skills in Bangla and English both.
∎ Effective “hands-on” user of Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Salary:
∎ Tk. 65000 - 70000 (Monthly)
∎ Compensation & Other Benefits: If he/she becomes the permanent employee of the organization, other benefits will be offered as per organization policy i.e. annual leave, sick leave, provident fund, gratuity, staff welfare, medical allowance, tiffin allowance, festival bonus etc.
