Responsibilities & Context:
Tax Management:
- Prepare and file accurate tax returns in compliance with Bangladesh tax laws and regulations.
- Ensure timely payment of all tax liabilities, including income tax, withholding tax, and other applicable taxes.
- Maintain comprehensive tax records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to optimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance.
VAT Management:
- Oversee VAT registration, filing, and compliance activities under Bangladesh VAT laws.
- Prepare and submit monthly and annual VAT returns accurately and on time.
- Manage VAT payments and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Conduct regular VAT reconciliations and audits to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
Reporting:
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on tax and VAT matters for senior management.
- Maintain strong relationships with relevant authorities to ensure compliance and address any issues promptly.
