Responsibilities & Context:
Assist the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods in the depot
Ensure accurate documentation (inward/outward registers, stock records, etc.)
Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking
Conduct regular stock audits and physical verification
Ensure proper labeling, stacking, and FIFO (First-In-First-Out) practices
Report discrepancies and take corrective actions.
Manage and supervise depot staff (loaders, forklift operators, clerks, etc.)
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective measures
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the depot
Prepare daily/weekly reports on stock levels, dispatches, and issues
Ensure proper functioning of warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
