Educational Requirements:
∎ Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in Animal Husbandry
∎ Training/Trade Course: Artificial insemination
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Animal Breeding
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Proper Artificial Insemination after heat detection of cows.
∎ Inseminate good quality frozen semen.
∎ Some cases natural insemination practice between cow and bull.
∎ Prevent repeat breeding by experienced AI.
∎ Solve gynecological problem of milking cow.
∎ Primary diagnosis of disease and providing primary care of sick animals.
∎ Pregnancy diagnosis and delivery management, calf & dame care.
∎ Ensure proper feeding for animals and monitor whether they're eating.
∎ Clean, sterilize, and maintain kennels, operating rooms, examining rooms, cages, and surgical equipment.
∎ Comfort and restrain dairy cattle during examinations and care.
∎ Examines semen, using microscope and records density motility of gametes.
∎ Measures specified amount of semen into calibrated syringe inserts syringe into inseminating gun.
∎ Injects semen into oviduct of hen or through hole in egg shell.
∎ Ensure vaccination & medication of livestock.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Should have minimum 6 months training on Artificial insemination from a reputed institution / obstetrics & Gynecology dept. of a reputed Agricultural University.
∎ Should have DLS Registration certificate as AI staff. (DLS Listed)
∎ Should have minimum three years’ practical job experience of any cattle breeding center / farm. (Govt. /NGO/Company)
∎ Any other dairy farm management related job.
