Responsibilities & Context:
- Responsible for conducting genetic studies on animal species to improve their health, breeding, and productivity. They collect, handle, and analyze animal genetic material such as blood, tissue, semen, and DNA/RNA, using molecular biology and bioinformatics tools for genetic testing and sequencing. Their work includes identifying and studying hereditary diseases and traits in livestock, companion animals, or wildlife, and developing genetic improvement programs aimed at breeding efficiency and disease resistance.
