Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Prepare monthly work plan in collaboration and guidance from the District Manager and Program Officer to ensure ambulatory treatment of all DRTB patients.
∎ Ensure quality sample collection and transport the samples of DRTB patients from upazila/ district to NTRL/RTRL for culture/DST and monthly follow-up testing.
∎ Maintain regular coordination, communication, and liaison with upazila/district-level stakeholders including Govt. and NGO staff.
∎ Follow the guidelines of infection prevention control along with maintaining a cool transport system during sample transportation.
∎ Collect and deliver the reports (culture/DST and follow-up tests) in proper time to respective upazila/ district.
∎ Ensure referral and hospitalization of DRTB patients (if needed due to adverse drug reactions).
∎ Maintain proper record and contribute to the preparation of monthly/ quarterly reports and submit them in due time.
∎ Ensure supply of prescribe medicine to DR TB patients from the district level. Safeguarding Responsibilities
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
∎ With the support of The Global Fund, BRAC Health Programme has been implementing TB Control Project for more than three decades in collaboration with National Tuberculosis Control Programme (NTP). BRAC works in a people-centered approach across rural and urban areas of the country with the aim to ensure prevention, early diagnosis and treatment adherence of tuberculosis through community engagement and Public-Private Mix (PPM) activities so that TB related healthcare services can be widely accessible and affordable to every individual.
