• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Plant Pathology, Entomology or any other related fields of Agriculture

• Knowledge of the principles and practices of crop production, soil science, and plant nutrition
• Experience in conducting field trials and experiments, and using field instruments and equipment
• Proficiency in using data management and analysis software, such as MATLAB, R, Python, SPSS, Excel
• Have to be able to work in any project area
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team or individually and under pressure

Bashundhara Agro Chemical Industries Limited (BACIL) is looking for a qualified Agriculturist to join our professional team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Plan and make a complete roadmap for cultivating cereals and vegetables using advanced fertilizer in the plots/study area of BACIL executed by respective professional team members.
• Conduct comparative studies after applying commercial fertilizer and advanced fertilizer in the designated plots of BACIL.
• Arrange training programs for workers, employees, and professionals of the lab and study field.
• Collect field-related plant data and perform analysis with proper visualization and discussion with respective professionals.
• Control pests and diseases, and take preventive action according to the research field conditions.
• Identify infections through pathogenesis and take necessary action according to the observed symptoms.
• Prepare lifecycle- and crop season-wise reports for research projects and update BACBLS' Dhaka office periodically.
• Take necessary actions for crop growth and optimal development of the research field, ensuring maximum yield of the crops under study.
• Recommend new programs in the field of agriculture, lab, and professional human resources development on a periodic basis.
• Maintain firm coordination with the professional team and management.
