Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Agriculture / Diploma in Agriculture/ Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Agriculture from any reputed university.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 4 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Analyze existing operation, crops, staff and financial documents for improvement.
∎ Crop selection - Select the crops those are suitable for cultivation
∎ Soil fertility testing - Before plantation field soil should be tested to know the soil structure and nutrients level
∎ Seed selection - Buy/collect seed from well-known companies
∎ Planning for Planting - Planning the total cropping cycle. With Fertilizer application, Weeding, Pest and disease control, Watering, Management of hazardous materials handling and disposal
∎ Guidance- Organize and direct the work of subordinate personnel
∎ Monitoring and Maintenance - Monitor the total work. Maintain the equipment, materials, and monitor the techniques. Supervision and administration of activities on farm estates.
∎ Budgeting - budgeting and maintaining accurate financial records
∎ Organizing sales and purchases of livestock, farm equipment, crops and agricultural products
∎ Handling paperwork and keeping administrative records
∎ Recruiting, training/instructing and supervising farm workers
∎ Making sure that work progresses satisfactorily
∎ Ensuring compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards
∎ Ensuring that the farm is profitable and meets projected financial targets
∎ Organizing maintenance/repair of farm property, equipment and machinery
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 4 years working experience in the relevant field.
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
∎ Ability to communicate, present and negotiate at all levels
∎ Innovation and creativity
∎ Results driven.
∎ Ability to work autonomously
