Responsibilities & Context:

Experience

  • 10–12+ years of progressive experience in operations, production, or plant management.
  • Proven track record in Line Hardware, Steel Manufacturing, Transformer or similar manufacturing industries.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Production Management

  • Oversee entire production and operations, including hardware, galvanizing, and electrical manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and supervise plant operations to ensure optimum utilization of man, machine, and material.
  • Ensure quality production and on-time delivery in line with awarded tenders and client specifications.
  • Develop and enforce SOPs and best practices for efficient plant operation.

Planning & Budgeting

  • Prepare and monitor monthly and annual production budgets, including raw material, consumables, and cost estimation.
  • Conduct regular reviews of production schedules, capacity, and cost efficiency.
  • Forecast operational needs, production costs, and market demand.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Implement process improvements, machine modifications, and new technology to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Take proactive measures to reduce machine breakdowns, wastage, and energy consumption.

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, motivate, and develop production teams, ensuring accountability and high performance.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff and workers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership in managing local stakeholders, government officials, and external auditors.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, quality control, and finance departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, and third-party stakeholders.
  • Address and manage external challenges including political/local pressures and regulatory issues.
