Key Responsibilities

Production Operations Management

• Monitor, inspect, and oversee complete production operations to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing of meters.

• Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities in line with company objectives and operational standards.

Production Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to meet customer delivery requirements.

• Develop detailed production schedules based on customer orders, demand forecasts, and inventory availability to achieve production targets.

Efficiency & Continuous Improvement

• Implement lean manufacturing principles, 5S practices, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, material wastage, and cost per unit.

Quality Control & Compliance

• Coordinate closely with the QA/QC team to ensure all meter batches comply with IEC, BSTI, ISO standards, and customer specifications.

• Ensure adherence to established quality systems and audit requirements.

Target Achievement & Performance Management

• Achieve production targets within planned timelines while maintaining KPIs related to output, efficiency, quality, and wastage.

• Monitor and analyze performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Machinery & Equipment Management

• Ensure preventive maintenance and proper functioning of all production machinery, including test benches and calibration benches, to minimize downtime.

Material & Inventory Control

• Monitor, forecast, and control raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste.

Productivity & Reporting

• Track key production KPIs such as production efficiency, yield rate, rejection rate, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly production performance reports to senior management.

Health, Safety & Regulatory Compliance

• Enforce Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policies within the production area.

• Ensure compliance with national labor laws, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Cost & Resource Optimization

• Control production costs through effective manpower planning, energy optimization, and material utilization without compromising product quality.

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Identify and resolve production issues related to circuit assembly, calibration processes, test benches, and communication modules (AMI/AMR systems) in coordination with relevant teams.

New Product Development & Launch Support

• Support R&D and operations teams during pilot runs, process validation, and production setup for new meter models, design enhancements, or product upgrades.
