Educational Requirements:
∎ MBBS with MPH from any recognised medical college/ university
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead and participate in the process of developing yearly health plan consistent with the overall BRAC strategy.
∎ Oversee and ensure the smooth capitalization of the health programs, and the restructuring of BRAC’s health programs.
∎ Recommend internationally used best practices & standards to guarantee the standardization of health program in line with the current Bangladesh government health strategy.
∎ Support the collection, monitoring, and analysis of BRAC health related data, by developing the routine raw data collection tools, and provide regular analysis from a public health, epidemiological aspect.
∎ Support the health lead in setting the priorities of the program in line with the overall health strategy, and the programmatic needs and sector priorities.
∎ Participate in the approval of health related purchases and supplies according to the needs and international guidelines.
∎ Identify training needs and ensure formal and on-job training for health teams.
∎ Participate in proposal writing, different donor related or any other reports writing, and timely provide technical inputs in any other internal or external document/ report as requested.
∎ Ensure BRAC’s participation and representation at meetings with key stakeholders, partners, or donors, as well as with different technical sectors.
∎ Provide support to H&N team lead to ensure effective project management of the overall health and nutrition project through operational, financial and technical approaches.
∎ Provide guidance and support to maintain Quality and Accountability.
∎ Perform any other task assigned by Supervisor/ Management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 7 years of experience in Health and Nutrition Programme especially of NGO/ INGO/ UN agencies. Candidates with experience in Emergency Programme are highly encouraged to apply
∎ Commitment to an understanding of BRAC core values and principles
∎ Demonstrated competency to work independently with minimum supervision
∎ Have effective acquaintance with People Management
∎ Have effective acquaintance with Project Management
∎ Have a good understanding and command in health and nutrition knowledge
∎ Have excellent competency in Project Proposal, Preparing Concept Notes, Budget Preparation and Budgetary Control
∎ Have excellent reporting skill
∎ Have excellent monitoring and evaluation skill
∎ Ability and willingness to travel and stay in the field
∎ Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse organization
∎ Have excellent knowledge on Office Applications
∎ Have a good command in writing and speaking English
