Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Accounting / Finance or relevant discipline from reputed university.
∎ CA, CC is preferred.
Job Context:
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is one of the leading development organizations in Bangladesh. The Health Sector of DAM is running drug treatment and rehabilitation centers and implementing the Tobacco Control Program along with it`s other program like primary health care program, communicable and non-communicable diseases prevention program, nutrition program and mental health care program. DAM is going to implement the "USAID Feed the Future Bangladesh Nutrition Activities (BNA) Project" and is looking for competent and self-motivated individuals for the following position.
∎ Admin & Accounts Officer will be responsible for providing the necessary support to Bangladesh Nutrition Activity district team. S/he will work closely with the district BNA team, donor and finance focal of DAM and will support her/his line manager in daily operations.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
∎ Document financial transactions by entering account information.
∎ Maintain accounting controls by preparing the necessary background papers.
∎ Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
∎ Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
∎ Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
∎ Prepare the necessary documents for procuring goods and services.
∎ Prepare the supporting documents for the procurement committee.
∎ Perform the day to day administrative work for the DAM and BNA Project.
∎ Supervise the tasks of the other support staff of the DAM and BNA Project.
∎ Be responsible for the files, Vehicles and records of DAM and BNA Project.
∎ Maintain records of the IEC material of the DAM and BNA Projects.
∎ Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed with TD and DAM-Health Sector Coordinator of Finance.
∎ Prepare all project BANK related work timely and properly.
∎ Other duties as assigned by supervisor and DAM-Health Sector.
∎ Prepare/supervise the monthly and quarterly reports of all activities with consultation of TD, Area Specialists and other concerned staff.
∎ Ensure all types of reports and minutes are timely and sent to the DAM Health sector. Dhaka
∎ Ensure that all kinds of Accounts and Finance related documents and information are timely sent to the Health Sector-DAM.
∎ Perform other duties as and when necessary/needed or assigned to you by the authority.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 03 (Three) years' experience in a similar position.
∎ Age is no more than 45 years.
∎ Working experience with USAID funded nutrition and marketing system projects will add value.
∎ Excellent computer skills in accounting software, databases, word, excel, and other software.
∎ Able to maintain coordination and communication with donor, district team, DAM finance units and relevant officials.
Salary: Tk. 50000 (Monthly)
