Education:
    • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting
  • Bachelor`s degree in Business Administration (BBA) with a specialization in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Candidates with CA (CC) or ACCA (Part Qualified) background will be given preference due to their advanced knowledge.

Additional Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the Accounting Sector, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, or any other relevant accounting software, is highly desired. Experience with advanced features of MS Excel and G-Suite is also preferred.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism, ensuring compliance with privacy and security policies.

  • Proficient in English communication, with strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey financial information and interact with stakeholders.

  • Basic knowledge of tax regulations and regulatory requirements, with a willingness to learn and stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

  • Proactive attitude towards problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Responsibilities & Context:

WellDev is a software development company headquartered in Switzerland that builds robust applications & software solutions for international clients. As we expand our team, we are seeking a talented Accounts Officer to join us and play a pivotal role in our finance team and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations within our organization. The Accounts Officer’s responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions and to ensure that our financial reports comply with relevant standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily transactions and accurately record vouchers in the accounting software, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data.

  • Oversee petty cash management and handle bank-related activities, including deposits and withdrawals, in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Prepare bank reconciliation statements and fund reconciliation statements regularly to ensure the accuracy of financial records and identify any discrepancies.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly budgets, financial planning, and forecasting to support CFO on decision-making processes.

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations by timely preparation and filing of VDS, TDS, VAT return, and Tax return, adhering to relevant rules and regulations.

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all vouchers, receipts, and transaction-related documents for proper documentation and audit trail purposes.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement, with attention to detail and adherence to accounting principles.

  • Collaborate closely with the internal audit team during the yearly company audit, providing necessary financial data and documents for audit purposes.

  • Assist in employee income tax filing processes and track insurance claims, ensuring timely compliance and resolution of employee-related financial matters.

  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to obtain monthly bills and other necessary documents, maintaining positive relationships and ensuring timely payment processing.

  • Conduct sales invoice checking and posting activities accurately and efficiently to facilitate timely revenue recognition and reporting.

  • Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the team lead, contributing to the smooth functioning of the finance department and supporting team objectives.
