Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's in Accounting/ Finance from any recognised University/ Institution with minimum second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Preparing budget according to the programme and staff numbers
∎ Taking care of funds to pay bills and salaries of employees and vendors
∎ Prepare account statements
∎ Analyze revenue and resolve accounting discrepancies
∎ Oversee the financial operations of the project and ensure timely and accurate financial reports and practices including cash management, payroll, financial disbursements, ledgers etc.
∎ Obtain approvals from the Executive Director of this project and from the donors on all procurements and purchases for the projects and for the organisation
∎ Oversee the financial audits of the projects
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 02 years of working experience in the field of finance and accounts in the development sector is required.
∎ Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge of climate change adaptation, resilience, community capacity building initiatives, climate-resilient drinking water solutions, resilient livelihood, value chain and market linkage, gender, environmental and social compliance issues etc.
∎ Experienced in accounts management, budgeting, preparation of the relevant report
∎ Sound knowledge of project accounts management compliance
∎ Capable of planning and prioritizing under any stress situation
∎ Excellent skills in communications and networking
∎ Familiar with MS Office, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
