Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Prepare payment vouchers, ensuring proper deduction of taxes and VAT.
∎ Safely and systematically maintain invoices, staff advances, and other financial documents and records.
∎ Enter financial data into the accounting system (Tally ERP 9).
∎ Maintain and update bills and vouchers for all program expenses.
∎ Ensure adherence to purchasing procedures and guidelines.
∎ Prepare periodic bank reconciliations (monthly, quarterly, annual) and submit them to the Senior Finance and Accounts Officer within deadline.
∎ Maintain accurate accounts and establish financial control mechanisms for all projects under the LF-CDD Partnership Program.
∎ Disburse funds to partner NGOs on time, as recommended by the Senior Finance and Accounts Officer.
∎ Support to the Senior Finance and Accounts Officer in conducting periodic statutory audits for various projects under the LF-CDD Country Program.
∎ Ensure all financial transactions comply with CDD and LF policies and procedures.
∎ Manage petty cash within CDD’s allowable limits and regularly update records and prepare daily petty cash reports for review by the Senior Finance and Accounts Officer.
∎ Deposit VAT and taxes timely, update the relevant registers regularly, and issue Mushok 6.6 forms for vendors as required.
∎ Support the Senior Finance and Accounts Officer in all accounting tasks.
∎ Complete tasks assigned within specified deadlines as instructed by the CDD Management.
∎ Visit partner NGO offices to review bills, documents, and expense bookings to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
∎ Conduct OFAC checks before processing payments and ensure the use of revenue stamps where applicable.
∎ Adhere to CDD's Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants;
∎ Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project;
∎ Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures;
∎ Perform any other responsibility/ special duty delegated by project and CDD management.

∎ CDD is planning to recruit for the position of ‘Accounts Officer’ under the project titled ‘The Meaningful participation and inclusion of children and youths with disabilities in all domains of CBR (MaPInCBR)’ to be implemented with the support of Liliane Foundation (LF). The Accounts Officer will provide support to Senior F&A Officer for all accounts-related matters across projects under the LF-CDD Partnership Program ensuring accurate accounting practices in alignment with project documents and CDD’s guidelines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses strong interpersonal skills. The duration of the project is till 31st December 2029. The selected candidate will initially be hired for a three-month probationary period. Upon successful completion of this period, his/her employment contract will be renewed on an annual basis.
