Job Context:
∎ WDDF is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Joint Stock Company (Registration no. S 72/16(405)/07), Date: 11 November 2007) and NGOAB (Registration No. 2911, Date: 8 January 2015). Women with Disabilities Development Foundation (WDDF) is a voluntary, non- political, non- profitable, non-governmental and women with Disabilities rights-based organization. It is a self-help organization of enhancing Women with Disabilities` equal representation in the mainstream part of the society and proactive participating organization of, for and by women with Disabilities, working to actualize their aspirations and hopes for all intents and purposes to enable them to serve as self-reliant and dynamic participants in society. WDDF is run and managed by Women with Disabilities which has constitutionally been enrolling and engaging Women with Disabilities in planning, implementing and managing of its programs from grassroots to national level. WDDF is dedicated directly to work with Women with Disabilities and they are beneficiaries and owners of this organization. The project will be implemented by WDDF with financed by Women Fund Asia (WFA). WDDF is going to recruit the `MEAL Officer` for the mentioned project and the position`s desk office will be at Dhaka.
∎ Tenure of Services Contract: 6 (Six) months` probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on the performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till the project`s lifetime.
∎ Job Location: Head Office, Dhaka but frequently field visit in project location
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Accounts Coordinator shall conduct all accounting functions independently in accordance with the rules of human resources and financial manuals approved by the Executive Council of WDDF, in accordance with prevailing accounting policies and guidelines of ongoing projects.
∎ Conduct activities in accordance with gender and child policies of the organization.
∎ He/she will manage all bank related activities.
∎ He /she shall prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual financial reports of the organization.
∎ He/she will assist the Local Project Officer in conducting accounting activities and collect financial reports from him.
∎ He/she will be responsible for any mistakes or complications in the accounts of the organization.
∎ In preparing all annual budget and all types of accounting activities he will assist the Executive Director of the organization and design the project budget.
∎ He/she will collect and store all accounting information and prepare internal audit reports.
∎ He/she will provide all necessary assistance in conducting audit activities of the organization.
∎ He/she will manage and supervise the administrative activities of the organization.
∎ Responsible for organizational promotion, expansion of activities, fund raising and purchasing of the organization.
∎ Job location will be WDDF Head Office, Dhaka. But, if necessary, he will be bound to go to any region of Bangladesh.
∎ Others: Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergency situations, when needed and any other task assigned by Supervisor and /or Senior Management of WDDF.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Working Experience: Must have at least 3 years of experience in equivalent position of the relevant filed.
∎ Applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Working experience in Program in a National / International NGO.
∎ Persons with Disabilities specially Women with Disabilities candidate are encouraged to apply.
∎ Work experience on Disability field/Movement and community development at rural community will be given priority in selection process.
∎ Able to work under pressure and willing to frequent travel to field area of the project area.
∎ Good writing and speaking skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Must have computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Tally
Salary: Negotiable
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Yearly 2 festival equivalent one month salary
∎ Office time, Annual Leave, Increment & other facilities will be applicable as per 'Recruitment and Human Resource Management Policy' of WDDF and the facilities will be applicable also based on available resources in the project budget.
