Education:
∎ Fresh Graduate (bachelor’s degree) from Social/Environmental Sciences and Management or relevant subject or faculty- with good academic results throughout the academic career. Post graduation will be preferred.

∎ • Good presentation and communications skills.
∎ • Capacity to work independently and meeting tight deadlines.

∎ • Ready to undertake extensive field visits outside Dhaka

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Job Purpose
∎ The Climate Resilience Programme of WaterAid Bangladesh aims to improve access to water and sanitation services with promotion of safe hygiene practices among the targeted underprivileged people living in different climate vulnerable areas in Bangladesh. Young Professional in Climate Resilience Programme will e accountable for upholding responsibilities to achieve the aims of the respective Programme, Departmental and Organisational components by supporting team.

∎ Key Responsibilities
∎ 1. Pursue knowledge management and reporting process of the programme portfolio and relevant projects
∎ 2. Develop and update contents for programme activities and interventions
∎ 3. Support team in tracking progress of implementation and provide necessary assistance to partners to be on track ensuring quality of work
∎ 4. Support team in designing and promoting project activities in line with relevant national and global policies and strategies
∎ 5. Support in designing and conducting small study/ research to understand the challenges of the context and impacts of the project in a better way
∎ These responsibilities will be reviewed with the line manager from time to time and shall be adjusted with organisational priorities.

∎ Working Hours
∎ Full time (05 days, minimum 37.5 hours per week)

∎ Contract Tenure
∎ 12 months, non-extendable

∎ Travel
∎ Willingness to travel on a regular basis to remote areas of Bangladesh is required. 20-40% time should be dedicated to filed visits.

∎ Ways of Working
∎ Includes but not limited, work closely with members of Climate Resilience Programme team, Communications team, and other colleagues from other Programmes and Advocacy, Technical, Business Development teams. Also maintain working relationship with colleagues from other departments/teams within the organisation and partner/collaborating organisation.
