Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and implement CMS websites, with a focus on WordPress
∎ Organize, understand and implement web content to the design standard of the project
∎ Build web properties to specification, ensuring they're well tested
∎ Provide content management system (CMS) expertise
∎ Knowledge of user experience (UX) best practices and WCAG accessibility guidelines
∎ Provide search engine optimization (SEO) content strategy and tactical implementation
∎ Develop and implement technical SEO audits
∎ Provide search-related recommendations for website improvements
∎ Generate high-value, research-backed ideas for web content
∎ Google Analytics (GA) specialist
∎ Provide data/metrics to identify search engine marketing (SEM) opportunities and prove SEM effectiveness
∎ Implement tracking & testing for Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics (GA)
∎ Show strong understanding of HTML semantics and SEO best practices
∎ Provide subject matter expertise, guidance, advocacy, and ideation for marketing strategies
∎ Report to Digital Services Director
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 2 years in web development
∎ Experience with modern CSS layout techniques (flex and grid) and CSS preprocessors (SASS)
∎ Experience using collaborative version control system (e.g., git)
∎ Experience with JavaScript
∎ Comfortable using design tools (Figma, Photoshop, Adobe XD)
∎ WordPress: developing custom websites, troubleshooting errors, custom coding
∎ Website projects: portfolio shows you've been an integral part of web projects
∎ SEO: keyword research, advanced audits, tactical implementation and position tracking
∎ Passion for web development and trends
∎ Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
∎ Ability to take direction and process constructive feedback
∎ Team player with good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
∎ Specific organization skills: ability to maintain folder structures (e.g., Google Drive) and ad campaign files and create thoughtful UTM links and analytics tracking mechanisms
