Main Purpose

Carrying out surveillance and guarding activities in MSF facilities, according to MSF protocols and security rules, in order to ensure the safety and security of all mission personnel and premises.

Accountabilities

• Surveying the MSF premise's access and guides people to reception within authorized hours. Contacts administration team for authorizing people access.

• Watching MSF premises and property's perimeter fence through regular patrols. Remaining on duty until other wat-chman comes to do a handover, never leaving the post unattended.

• MSF স্থাপনা এবং সম্পত্তির চারপাশের নিয়মিত টহল দিয়ে পর্যবেক্ষণ করা। পরবর্তী প্রহরী দায়িত্ব গ্রহণ না করা পর্যন্ত পোস্ট ত্যাগ না করা।

• Organizing the traffic of vehicles within the premises and directs them in and out.

• স্থাপনার মধ্যে যানবাহনের চলাচলের ব্যবস্তা করা এবং তাদের প্রবেশ ও প্রস্থান নির্দেশনা প্রদান করা।

• Checking that the doors and windows are locked and lights are off when people leave premises. Checking that security lights are working properly and informing line manager of any possible problems.

• স্থাপনা থেকে লোকজন বেরিয়ে যাওয়ার সময় দরজা-জানালা বন্ধ এবং লাইট বন্ধ রয়েছে কিনা তা পরীক্ষা করা। নিরাপত্তা লাইট সঠিকভাবে কাজ করছে কিনা তা নিশ্চিত করা এবং লাইন ম্যানেজারকে কোনো সমস্যার বিষয়ে অবহিত করা।

• Keeping area within MSF premises clean and tidy (ex. empty dustbins, sweep paths, etc.) and performs general main-tenance activities of the garden (ex. cut grass, maintain flower beds, prune trees if necessary, etc.).

• MSF স্থাপনার ভেতরের এলাকা পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্ন রাখা (যেমন: ডাস্টবিন খালি করা, পথ ঝাড়ু দেওয়া ইত্যাদি) এবং বাগানের সাধারণ রক্ষণাবেক্ষণের কাজ করা (যেমন: ঘাস কাটা, ফুলের বেড রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ করা, গাছ ছাঁটা ইত্যাদি)।

• Maintaining watchmen's torch and other lighting tools, returning used batteries and keeping the necessary supply of spare batteries. Maintaining communication equipment (radio) in working conditions and providing battery availability.

• প্রহরীর টর্চ এবং অন্যান্য আলোক সরঞ্জাম রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ করা, ব্যবহৃত ব্যাটারি ফেরত দেওয়া এবং অতিরিক্ত ব্যাটারির প্রয়োজনীয় সরবরাহ নিশ্চিত করা। যোগাযোগ সরঞ্জাম (রেডিও) কার্যকর অবস্থায় রাখা এবং ব্যাটারি সরবরাহ নিশ্চিত করা।

• Supervising diesel/petrol tank levels and providing spare can(s) of fuel. Ensuring the correct functioning of generator and water pumps (starting, switching off, record sheet of operating hours and maintenance) as well as the correct use of extinguishers (being aware of their location.

• Informing line manager of arrival of any materials before unloading and helping MSF staff carry heavy items, if neces-sary.

Security and Surveillance:

• Regular Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of the base and surrounding areas to identify potential security threats.

• Access Control: Monitor and control access to the base, ensuring only authorized personnel enter.

• Incident Reporting: Report any suspicious activity, security breaches, or accidents to the Line manager immediately.

• Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies, such as fires, floods, or security incidents,following established procedures.

Facility Maintenance

• Cleaning and Tidying: Maintain cleanliness and order within the base premises, including offices, warehouses, and living quarters.

• পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্নতা: স্থাপনার ভেতরে (অফিস, গুদাম এবং থাকার জায়গা) পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্নতা ও শৃঙ্খলা বজায় রাখা।

• Gardening and Landscaping: Perform basic gardening tasks, such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and weeding.

• বাগান পরিচর্যা: সাধারণ বাগান পরিচর্যা কাজ করা, যেমন: লন কাটা, ঝোপঝাড় ছাঁটা এবং আগাছা পরিষ্কার করা।

• Repairs and Maintenance: Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, and painting.

• Report to the line manager prior his duty any health issues, discomfort, or personal limitations that may affect the ability to perform duties, especially during night shifts or in adverse weather conditions

• Permanent Contract. Salary according to level One (1) of the internal MSF salary grid (BDT 28086). Salary is not negotiable. Income tax deduction from salary based on current income tax rule. 2 annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents based on Health Care Policy- Locally Recruited Staff.

• There is no provisions for relocation. 2 Festival Bonuses after completion of one year of uninterrupted continuous service.
