∎ Job Summary: Prottyashi, A social development organization has been responding the Rohingya Crisis in Cox`s Bazar since the crisis started and currently is going to implement project in the Rohingya community of Cox`s Bazar to improve WASH facilities for the crisis affected people in partnership with BRAC Pooled Fund. Prottyashi invites applications for the vacant position titled- WASH Engineer for the "Improved health through Strengthened community hygiene management" Project.
∎ Reporting: Project Engineer will report to Project Coordinator. S/He has to maintain functional relationship with his/her peers, project teams and organization`s other priority teams. S/He must be able to communicate with other teams and units both program and operational of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare design and construction specifications for WASH infrastructure in line with the WASH sector guidelines in humanitarian response.
∎ Prepare detailed designs, calculations, and scope of works, specifications, bills of quantities and drawings for contract work packages as required.
∎ Guide the contractors to ensure all construction work according to design, plan and specification besides assists the contractors in resolving the technical issues.
∎ Monitor and supervise infrastructure repair, replacement activities to ensure public health and safety assured.
∎ Monitor regularly construction and repair and maintenance activities for safe work practices.
∎ Monitor WASH facilities of the targeted blocks of camp through regular visit to the sites to ensure quality of the project deliverables and mobilize the field staffs.
∎ Ensure upgradation of the WASH facilities in the targeted camp as per sector standard.
∎ Ensure repair and maintenance of the WASH facilities in collaboration with CiC office and other agencies working in the camps.
∎ Maintain liaison with the head of resilience and DRR of the Prottyashi for successfully implementation of the project activities.
∎ Maintain communication with different stakeholders such as WASH sector, SMS other agencies working in WASH interventions in the working camps.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 03 years of professional experience in national or international organizations in managing similar projects.
∎ Should have relevant experience in working in refugee camps in Cox's Bazar.
Salary:
∎ Monthly Gross Salary will be paid 66,556 BDT, contributory project provident fund 3,444 BDT.
01month gross salary will be paid as a bonus at proportionate rate ((Pro-Rata).
