∎ At least 5 years of relevant experience in WASH programs, public health promotion, or community development projects.
∎ At least 3 years of leadership experience as WASH Coordinator – Public Health Promotion or similar level of position.
∎ Experience working with NGOs, international organizations, or development agencies is preferred.
∎ Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and implementing WASH projects from inception to completion.
∎ Experience of working in fragile context.
∎ Highly diplomatic with strong oral and written communication skills.
∎ Demonstrate high-level technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
∎ Strong technical knowledge of WASH principles, public health promotion strategies, and community engagement practices.
∎ Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
∎ Proficiency in monitoring and evaluation methodologies, data analysis, and reporting.
∎ Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills for building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
∎ Fluency in written and verbal communication in English (additional languages may be advantageous).
∎ Proficiency in relevant software tools for data analysis, project management, and reporting.

∎ We are seeking a highly motivated WASH Coordinator – Public Health Promotion to join the HELVETAS Bangladesh under the IWASH project to lead inclusive and gender-responsive WASH initiatives in culturally sensitive settings. The role focuses on driving community engagement, promoting behavior change, and ensuring equitable access to WASH services. With expertise in public health promotion, the candidate will develop and implement innovative strategies, ensuring diverse representation in decision-making processes. Strong stakeholder coordination, rapport building, and advocacy skills are essential to foster collaboration with government agencies, community organizations, and partners. The ideal candidate will have a data-driven approach to monitoring and evaluation, utilizing participatory feedback to improve program effectiveness and advocate for inclusive WASH policies and sustainable solutions. The key responsibilities for this role may include the following but are not limited to:
∎ Oversee the execution of Inclusive and gender responsive WASH programs that are suitable for culturally sensitive settings and ensure compliance with international standards and best practices.
∎ Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
∎ Collaborate with team members and project stakeholders to address challenges and facilitate smooth project execution.
∎ Provide specialized knowledge in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) practices for ensuring project success.
∎ Develop innovative solutions and interventions to improve public health promotion strategies.
∎ Facilitate participatory processes to ensure diverse representation in WASH decision-making, including women and men, adolescent girls and boys, person with disability, elderly people etc. to contribute to transformative changes.
∎ Facilitate coordination among various stakeholders, including government agencies and community organizations, to enhance project impact.
∎ Ensure seamless communication and collaboration within the organization and with external partners.
∎ Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, local communities, and partners to foster support and engagement.
∎ Leverage partnerships for resource mobilization, capacity building, and sustainable project development.
∎ Develop monitoring frameworks and tools to track project progress and impact.
∎ Conduct regular assessments, data analysis, and evaluation to measure the effectiveness of interventions and identify areas for improvement.
∎ Facilitate the process to get to integrate participatory feedback from community / participants in the monitoring mechanism and advocate for inclusive WASH policies and budgets, ensuring the needs of women, girls, and excluded groups are prioritized.
