Job Responsibilities:
∎ Wash assistant will be the key responsible for implementing project activities and emergency support to wash and waste management
∎ Will participate collection of data from camp and the identification of beneficiaries within the targeted community
∎ He/she will participate in monitoring of implemented activities and access new needs
∎ Work in coordination with all the beneficiaries as well as with the construction supervisors
∎ Timely report to the wash officer and maintain regular communication with other wash actors
∎ Provide training to the beneficiaries about waste management and effective management of wash activities
∎ Will be responsible of reporting, archiving and documentation of wash activities
∎ With the support of wash officer, will be responsible to facilitate frequent donor visit
∎ Support and consider gender, protection, and GBV concerns in all aspects of activities
∎ Promotion of and adherence to Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse principles and guidelines
∎ Creation and follow up of weekly and long-term workplans for the project implementation
∎ Provide inputs for the elaboration of Procurement plans as requested by the wash officer
∎ Timely reporting on problems and challenges to line manager
∎ Timely reporting on security and safety incidents, including fire, landslides, floods and any possible security hazards
∎ Participate wash sector meeting and work in collaboration with wash actors
∎ Ensuring compliance to Helvetas internal procedures and donor procedures
Additional Requirements:
∎ Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
∎ Previous experience working for NGOs in similar position
∎ Excellent liaison and communication skills
∎ Experience in using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) essential
∎ Should have knowledge on humanitarian principals and attitude to work in Refugee Camps
Salary: Tk. 50000 - 55000 (Monthly)
