∎ Overall purposes of the role:
∎ The Vocational and Life Skills Officer/Trainer is responsible for the capacity building of project staff and beneficiaries. This position will also oversee the recruitment of skilled facilitators for vocational and skills trainings targeting Rohingya refugees and vulnerable women in host communities (HC). This position will work closely with the Vocational and Business Skills Team Leader.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implementation:
∎ Together with the Team Leader, the Vocational and Life Skills Officer/Trainer has overall responsibility for the vocational and life skills development components of the project.
∎ Assist Team Leaders to assess training needs of project beneficiaries, staff and volunteers and prepare detailed training plans.
∎ Support Team Leaders with the design and preparation of vocational and life skills training modules as well as Information Education and Communication / Behavior Communication Change materials and handouts for staff, volunteers and project beneficiaries.
∎ Identify and prepare a database of vocational trainers.
∎ Organize and facilitate trainings, workshops, training of trainers (ToT), campaigns and outreach activities for the project staff, volunteers and beneficiaries.
∎ Support the Community Mobilizer for community consultation and mobilization.
∎ Support the recruitment of vocational and life skills trainers.
∎ Financial Management:
∎ Lead the procurement process for vocational and skills development training materials.
∎ Request adequate advance to cover project costs with prior approval from Programme Manager.
∎ Submit all expenditure related documents for payment or advance adjustment.
∎ Certify payment documents of vocational trainers.
∎ Monitoring & Reporting:
∎ Monitor vocational and life skills training and provide necessary feedback to the trainer to achieve quality results.
∎ Collect data for post distribution monitoring of materials distributed for vocational trainings and Income Generating Activities.
∎ Prepare bi-weekly/monthly project training reports and submit to Team Leader.
∎ Staff Supervision and Management:
∎ Provide day to day supervision of Community Mobilizer.
∎ Ensure appropriate performance management.
∎ Coordination:
∎ Contribute to DCA's relationship with national authorities (Camp in Charge and local government counterparts, UNO, Union Parishad Chairman and other line departments) through regular communication and coordination

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 3 years of professional experience at International or National Non-Governmental Organisations or United Nations Agencies.
∎ Strong operational and project management skills.
∎ Good report writing skills.
∎ Sound understanding of the local context in both host and Rohingya communities.
∎ Experience in undertaking assessments for livelihoods and self-reliance interventions.
∎ Working experience in /managing response to refugee crises is highly preferred.
∎ Advance training on vocational and life skills is preferable.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
∎ Ability to organize and facilitate trainings, workshops, ToT, campaign and outreach activities for staff and stakeholders.
∎ Experience with community engagement and accountability.
∎ Knowledge of protection principles and minimum humanitarian standards.
∎ Strong verbal and written communication skills in Bengali and advance communication skills in English required.
∎ Additional Desired Qualifications:
∎ Strong computer skills, including internet navigation and office applications (MS Office);
∎ Typing skills in Bangla and English
∎ Knowledge of KOBO software.
∎ Key competencies:
