Job Summary

The Daily Sylheter Dak Multimedia is seeking a creative, skilled, and motivated Videographer & Video Editor to join our multimedia team. The role involves shooting, editing, and producing high-quality video content for news, interviews, documentaries, and digital platforms. Candidates with social media management skills will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality video footage for news reports, interviews, events, and special features

• Edit videos for YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and other digital platforms

• Collaborate with reporters and content creators to develop engaging visual stories

• Add graphics, subtitles, music, and basic motion elements where required

• Ensure timely delivery of content while maintaining editorial quality

• Archive and manage video footage efficiently

• (Preferred) Manage and schedule video content on social media platforms

• (Preferred) Assist with basic content strategy, captions, hashtags, and audience engagement

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in videography and video editing

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar

• Strong understanding of camera operation, framing, lighting, and sound recording

• Ability to tell compelling stories through visuals

• Good time management and ability to work under deadlines

• Willingness to cover field assignments and events

Preferred (Added Advantage)

• Experience managing social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)

• Knowledge of social media trends, reels/shorts, and audience engagement techniques

• Basic graphic design skills (Photoshop, After Effects, Canva, etc.)

• Experience working in a news or media organization
