Additional Requirements:
∎ Education
∎ • Essential Secondary education.
∎ • 2-years community paramedic or diploma in nursing or medical assistant degree desirable.
∎ Experience
∎ • Preferably at least a year of vaccination experience
∎ Language
∎ • Local language (Chittagonian, Rohingya) essential. English language desirable
∎ Knowledge
∎ • Knowledge of basic mathematics and ICT (information communication technology), preferred

Requirements:

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ • Ensuring safe and correct administration of the vaccination according to the specific vaccine requirements according to the EPI schedule
∎ • Following the universal guidelines for management of vaccines (cold chain, administration), reporting any anomaly, checking all vaccine vials (content, label, expiry date) before each session and disposing correctly of sharps after use
∎ • Observing any immediate adverse reactions and, if required, providing first aid, e.g. anaphylactic shock
∎ • Informing about possible side effects and the date of return for the next dose. May be required to give health education to the vaccinated/ caretakers on an individual basis.
∎ • Recording the given vaccination details in the registration book and other reporting/follow up tools such as tally sheet and report for EPI/MOH (Form 1)
∎ • Providing the vaccinated/caretaker with the completed vaccination card
∎ • Reporting on consumption and, in absence of a storekeeper, ordering regularly to prevent any ruptures in stock
∎ MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities
∎ • Work in collaboration with MOH and MSF vaccine strategy, this include to work in both fixed and outreach site in different camps as required with the possibilty to work in muddy, hilly areas, hot weather and rainy season.
∎ • Do door to door visit (Interpersonal communication (IPC)), bring eligible children and pregnant women to vaccination site, welcome them and the caretakers and ensure respectful and friendly environment for them.
∎ • Report and record AEFI to Line Manager, WHO and MOH
∎ • Prepare vaccine carriers in the morning following cold chain and IPC recommendations, carry vaccine box and other required materials to vaccination sites.
∎ • Maintain a defaulter tracking list and ensure every child are registered in both offline and online database of his/her respective work area and follow them up to ensure 100% immunization coverage.
∎ • Screen eligible children for vaccination, providing health education to the caretakers, and ensuring vaccination by proper counseling.
∎ • Ensure proper documentation of the vaccination status of each child & pregnant woman both in the register book and online method by e-tracking.
∎ • Prepare daily and monthly reports properly and precisely and submit to the supervisor, MSF data team and MOH, and WHO.
∎ • Conduct Interpersonal communication with community people on the day before vaccination to search for eligible children & pregnant women and to increase awareness about vaccination in the community and ensure vaccination on the following day.
∎ • Maintain proper communication, collaboration, and working relationship with WHO HFM, CHW of other NGOs, Imam, Majhis,and other relevant personnel related to the vaccination program.
∎ • Follow IPC (infection prevention guideline) recommendations during work.
∎ • Participation in any other related activistes as requested by the supervisor/ line manager.
∎ • Performing cleaning and disinfection of the vaccine carriers and ice packs at the end of the day.
∎ • Using all types of medical and logistics items including (mobile, vehicle supports,msf identification materials such as vests, id cards) carefully and alerting the supervisor in case of malfunctioning of any device or shortage of any items.
∎ • Be aware of the security context of camps, inform the supervisor/line manager in case of any security incidents and follow instructions given by MSF, and be ready to work in emergencies and during the absence of other colleagues.
∎ • Maintain teamwork, and follow the MSF code of conduct and RB policy to create a positive image of MSF to the community people.
∎ • Ensure that the vaccination card is properly filled and handed out to the pregnant mother in the SRH department during the absence of the vaccination team.
∎ • Flexibility to cover both outreach and fixed vaccination sites as and when necessary


Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Contract and Benefit
∎ 2-12 month- contract renewable based on performance and operational needs. Salary according to Level Three (3) of the internal MSF salary grid (BDT 39000 Gross). Salary is not negotiable. Income tax deduction from salary based on current income tax rule. 2 annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents based on Health Care Policy- Locally Recruited Staff.
∎ Others
∎ There is no provisions for relocation. 2 Festival Bonuses after completion of one year of uninterrupted continuous service.
