∎ Job Summary:
∎ Prottyashi, A social development organization has been responding the Rohingya Crisis in Cox`s Bazar since the emergency started and currently is going to implement project in the host community of Ukhiya, Ramu and Chakaria upazila supported by WorldFish with funding from USAID. Prottyashi invites applications for the vacant position titled- Upazila Nutrition and Aquaculture Officer (UNAO) for "Promotion of Aquaculture and Nutrition Sensitive Interventions (PANSI)" Project.
∎ Reporting:
∎ Upazila Nutrition and Aquaculture Officer will report to Nutrition and Aquaculture Coordinator. S/he will be reporting to the Prottyashi program team when necessary.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide support in implementing aquaculture activities according to the workplan and scheduled timeline.
∎ Maintain relationship between project target people and the project management through capacity building and technical support activities.
∎ Supervisor Union Nutrition Facilitators (UNFs) while his/her supervisor will be project Nutrition and Aquaculture Coordinator.
∎ Establish and maintain communication with different stakeholders such as local government, upazila fisheries department, upazila department of women and child affairs, upazila health complex, Upazila Nutrition Coordination Committee (UNCC) etc.

∎ Assist Nutrition and Aquaculture Coordinator in preparing monthly progress report with the cooperation of Union Nutrition Facilitators through providing data from UNFs.
∎ Support Union Nutrition Facilitators to conduct training on aquaculture for the project direct beneficiaries in the field.
∎ Monitor project activities through regular visit in the field to ensure quality of the project deliverables and mobilize the Union Nutrition Facilitators.
∎ Attend meetings and workshops with the different stakeholders, funding partners and Prottyashi to inform about the progress of the project activities.
∎ Provide technical support to the direct beneficiaries in case of arising any complication in the field.
∎ Collect data from the Union Nutrition Facilitators through KOBO monitoring tool and submitting to the NAC and central monitoring department.
∎ Collect field level evidence/case studies of project activities through photographs and send it to the central monitoring department.
∎ Establish and maintain relationship with the market actors to help create market linkages among beneficiaries and market actors.
∎ Attend various meetings at the upazila level and presenting the project activities before government authorities when regularly.
∎ Nurturing relationship with the press to mobilize it as and Designing content for proactive media campaign as well as for publishing in local and national media.
∎ Have to be travelling extensively throughout the unions of upazila for smoother implementation of the project activities.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 03 years of professional experience in maintaining aquaculture activities under fisheries projects and in fish farms.
∎ Technical Skills:
∎ Skill of photography
∎ Able to adopt different smart monitoring tools such as KOBO/IDK.
∎ Able to take decision in a timely manner, priorities and multi-task work seamlessly
∎ Able to drive motorcycle for long distances.
∎ Candidates of Chattogram and Cox's Bazar district having proficiency in local language will be given preference.
Salary:
∎ Monthly Gross Salary will be 38,106 BDT with other admissible benefits such as festival bonus and provident fund.
