Job Context:
∎ Job Context: The Trust for Injured Workers` Medical Care Including Rana Plaza Workers (the "TIWMC") is established jointly by the Government of Bangladesh, Labour unions and non-Government organizations with the support of International Labour Organization (ILO), Dhaka for the provision of long term medical care to the Rana Plaza and Tazreen injured workers in accordance with the ILO convention 121 and the applicable laws of Bangladesh.
∎ Job Nature: Full-time (each yearly contract with possibility of extension)
∎ Responsible to: Board of Trustee
∎ Job Location: 77/7 Dogormora, Valerie Taylor Road, Chapain, Savar, Dhaka-1343
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To coordinate, as the team leader of TIWMC, with the concerned in order to provide quality medical services to the Rana Plaza and Tazreen injured workers.
∎ Collect and prepare all necessary documents for contract preparation.
∎ Check invoices and forward them to the Treasurer for Payment Release.
∎ Prepare budget for the TIWMC expenditure with support of the accountant.
∎ Prepare a monthly progress report for the Board of Trustees.
∎ Stay in close communication with and coordinate between the public and private medical centers, consultants and Service Providers to support a smooth implementation of the programme.
∎ Prepare separate reports for both Rana Plaza Coordination Committee and Tazreen Coordination Committee. Participate CC meetings and respond to the queries of the CC and Board members.
∎ Prepare meeting minutes and other documents.
∎ Implement and execute the board decisions.
∎ Liaise and coordinate with Government, labour unions, ILO, NGOs and health authorities to ensure quality services are provided.
∎ Coordinate with the Recruitment Agency, and supporting the facility in-charge to effectively manage health staff on issues such as; administrative functions, performance management and schedule / rota management.
∎ Prepare a Payroll file for the TIWMC staff.
∎ Keep records of financial transactions.
∎ Assist auditors in the annual audit of the Trust.
∎ Manage TIWMC equipment inventory, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
∎ Organize workshops, seminars as and when necessary.
∎ Perform such other duties that may be assigned by the board members.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge and experience with working in the field of public health sector and in hospital administration.
∎ Knowledge and experience with working in the field of public health sector and in medical emergencies and Trauma management will be added as advantage.
∎ Previous working experiences with the Rana Plaza and Tazreen injured workers' medical care and rehabilitation will be an added advantage.
∎ Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
∎ Proficient in the English language.
Salary: Tk. 60000 (Monthly)
