Job Responsibilities:
∎ Functional Responsibilities: The Training Officer (TO) will provide local context and technical inputs in the development and implementation of the professional development programme, which will include conduct of competency assessments, development of capacity development plan, preparation of course design/curriculum and conduct/delivery of training courses. The Training Officer will work closely with and under the supervision of the Training and Curriculum Development Specialist

Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of 2 years (or more depending on educational qualification) relevant experience in training design and delivery, curriculum development and organizational capacity development is required.
∎ Experience in the use on adult learning methodologies and participatory approaches and tools, development of training course design and/or curriculum, development of instructional materials is a definite asset.
∎ Experience in organizing, facilitation, delivery and management of technical trainings, workshops and conferences, required.
∎ Experience with translation would be a distinct asset.
∎ Experience in engaging and coordinating with government counterparts is an asset.
∎ Experience working on development projects in the area of capacity development, with good understanding of national capacity building approach and processes is desired.
∎ Experience working on projects on resilient infrastructure, climate change, DRR and Risk Management, preferred.
∎ Experience providing specialist services to government institutions in Bangladesh, preferred.
∎ Experience working in international organisations desired.
