Job Context:
∎ HI has been working in Bangladesh since 1997, with a focus on creating sustainable changes in terms of ensuring the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities in society. HI is an independent and impartial aid organization working in situations of poverty, exclusion, conflict, and disaster throughout Bangladesh. With projects in different districts of the country, HI works not only with people with disabilities and other vulnerable populations, but also with their families, their communities, and local humanitarian actors in order to respond to their essential needs, improve their living conditions, promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights, and provide sustainability in its action. As one of the key organizations in the disability sector, HI has a wide range of projects which assist to promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities and their issues in emergency and development contexts, build capacities of local stakeholders, and reduce the impact of natural and human-made disasters. Particularly in Cox`s Bazar district, HI is providing services in rehabilitation, MH/PSS, SRH, protection and inclusive education with an inclusion mainstreaming approach to refugees and host population affected by the forcibly displaced undocumented Myanmar nationals. HI`s multi-sectoral mobile units (MU) and static approach are currently working in 15 camps located in both Teknaf and Ukhiya Upazilas and surrounding host areas providing comprehensive services in physical rehabilitation, primary health care, protection, and MH/PSS.
∎ HI is currently implementing development and humanitarian response project in Kurigram, Sitakindu, and Cox`s Bazar district through 4 project offices (Kurigram, Sitakundu, Ukhiya, and Teknaf) and 2 coordination offices( Dhaka and Cox Bazar).
∎ Operational Thematic: Livelihood, Health and Rehabilitation, Protection, Inclusion, Education and Atlas Logistic
∎ Number of staffs: Around 282 National staffs and 10 international staffs
∎ HI is currently looking for some Training Officer - Inclusive Education for its "Enhancing inclusive Access to Equitable learning and Education to Girls and Boys with Disabilities of Rohingya Refugee and Host Community" project funded by the UNICEF.
∎ Job Location: Ukhiya
∎ Line Manager: Team Manager - Inclusive Education
∎ Type of Contract: Fixed-term
∎ Duration of the Contract: As early as possible to 28 February 2022 with the possibility of extension of the project.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Objective-1: Training and Material Development (Inclusive Education)
∎ Contextualize training module, finalize the schedule & ensure validation (by technical referent) of teachers training on inclusive education including teaching methodology and pedagogy
∎ Provide technical guidance to field-level educational facilitators (teaching staffs) & non-teaching staffs to address their challenges in implementing inclusive education such as classroom management, reasonable accommodations, Individual Education Plan (IEP), harmonization among children with disabilities.
∎ Communicate with relevant partner organizations and officials for organizing training and obtain necessary acknowledgment
∎ Regular communication with technical staff in rehabilitation and accessibility to implement comprehensive support on specific learning needs of children with disabilities and teachers
∎ In Coordination with STO, He or she is responsible for the modification and adjustment of learning materials appropriate for the specific type of children with disabilities
∎ Participating in close collaboration with the STO on the design or update of tools and processes according to the needs.
∎ Supervising the implementation of the field-tools validated by inclusive technical referent (HI)
∎ Checking the quality of learning materials/raw materials (for developing accessible educational material) purchased before receiving a delivery from the supply chain
∎ Raising urge for change, providing updates, and identifying improvement areas of relevant education activities according to the field requirement
∎ He or she is the focal person for the planning of IE training management & support towards educational facilities at the field level
∎ Regular communication at field level with external education actors and reporting updates to line manager
∎ Objective-2: Supervision and Coordination
∎ Identify technical weaknesses, challenges, and strengths of the targeted educational facilities and provide concrete solutions and capacity building to address these issues
∎ Identify opportunities for possible internal and external coordination and notify STO
∎ Monitoring the activities of targeted educational facilities for quality, efficiency, and appropriate response to the identified needs and report immediately
∎ Documentation of narrative case studies maintaining proper sequence of improvement stages both in photographs and videos (in excellent resolution) and including provided services of multi-disciplinary TEAM members towards a specific type of children with disabilities
∎ Objective-3: Monitoring, Documentation, and Reporting
∎ Ensure relevant discreet breakdown of data in documentation and event reports
∎ Ensure the data consolidation and archiving from the very beginning of joining
∎ Objective-4: External Coordination
∎ In coordination with STO, provide training to other external partners.
∎ Regularly participate in the meetings of local authoritative stakeholders e.g., Camp Coordination Meetings Meeting at CiC offices, Upazila Coordination Meeting, etc. on a need basis
∎ Take lead monthly sharing on the case study, gaps, challenges, way forwards.
∎ Participate in the capacity development sessions (both online and offline) arranged by Cox’s Bazar Education Sector and disseminate the learning among TEAM members.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ At least 02-year work experience in the same sector
∎ Training Facilitation experience
∎ Experienced/academically enriched in developing Accessible Educational Material (AEM)
∎ Computer knowledge (MS office package- both in English and Bangla);
∎ Experience NGO experience in disability and education
∎ Experience with Rohingya Refugee and host community in Ukhia and/or Teknaf Upazila
∎ Able to work in emergency conditions
∎ Good analyzing skill
∎ Strong team-work approach
∎ Communication skills in verbal and written Bangla and English
∎ Knowledge of disability and inclusive education
∎ Sensitized on issues related to child protection, protection of gender-based violence, etc.
∎ Experienced in implementing inclusive education set up, preferably in the field of Emergency
∎ Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
∎ Knowledge of the Chittagonian / Rohingya language is a strong asset
∎ Person with disability are encouraged to apply

∎ Tk. 55654 - 58993 (Monthly)
