Job Context:
∎ HI has been working in Bangladesh since 1997, with a focus on creating sustainable changes in terms of ensuring the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities in society. HI is an independent and impartial aid organization working in situations of poverty, exclusion, conflict, and disaster throughout Bangladesh. With projects in different districts of the country, HI works not only with people with disabilities and other vulnerable populations, but also with their families, their communities, and local humanitarian actors in order to respond to their essential needs, improve their living conditions, promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights, and provide sustainability in its action. As one of the key organizations in the disability sector, HI has a wide range of projects which assist to promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities and their issues in emergency and development contexts, building capacities of local stakeholders, and reducing the impact of natural and human-made disasters. Particularly in Cox`s Bazar district, HI is providing services in rehabilitation, MH/PSS, SRH, protection, and inclusive education with an inclusion mainstreaming approach to refugees and host populations affected by the forcibly displaced undocumented Myanmar nationals. HI`s multi-sectoral mobile units (MU) and static approach are currently working in 15 camps located in both Teknaf and Ukhiya Upazilas and surrounding host areas providing comprehensive services in physical rehabilitation, and primary health care, protection, and MH/PSS.
∎ HI is currently implementing a development and humanitarian response project in Kurigram, and Cox`s Bazar district through 4 project offices (Kurigram, Ukhiya, and Teknaf) and 2 coordination offices (Dhaka and Cox Bazar).
∎ Operational Thematic: Livelihood, Health and Rehabilitation, Protection, Inclusion, Education, and Atlas Logistics
∎ Number of staff: Around 270 National staff and 06 international staff
∎ HI is currently looking for Training Officer-Inclusive Education, reporting to the Team Manager (TM) for its "inclusive education to girls and boys with disabilities of Rohingya refugee and host community" project funded by UNICEF.
∎ Job Location: Ukhiya
∎ Type of Contract: Fixed-term
∎ Duration of the Contract: As early as possible to 16 August 2023.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Training and Material Development (Inclusive Education):
∎ Contextualize training module, finalize the schedule and ensure validation (by technical referent) of teachers training on inclusive education including teaching methodology and pedagogy, inclusive educational materials (IEM).
∎ Organize and facilitate trainings for Master Trainers (MTs) of education partners on developed manuals and modules.
∎ Provide technical guidance to field level educational facilitators (teaching staffs) & non-teaching staffs of education partners to address their challenges in implementing inclusive education uch as classroom management, reasonable accommodations, Individual Education Plan (IEP), IEM, harmonization among children with disabilities.
∎ Communicate with relevant partner organizations and officials for developing inclusive education plan for education facilities.
∎ Regular communication with technical staff in rehabilitation and accessibility to implement comprehensive support on specific learning needs of children with disabilities and teachers of education partners.
∎ In Coordination with TO-IE, he or she is responsible for the modification and adjustment of learning materials, IEM, appropriate for the specific type of children with disabilities.
∎ Participating in close collaboration with the TO-IE on the design or update of tools and process according to the needs.
∎ Checking the quality of learning materials/raw materials (for developing inclusive educational material) purchased before receiving delivery from supply chain.
∎ Supervision and Coordination:
∎ Identify technical weaknesses, challenges, and strengths of the targeted education partners/ MTs and provide concrete solutions and capacity building to address these issues.
∎ Identify opportunities for possible internal and external coordination and notify TM.
∎ Monitoring the activities of targeted educational facilities for quality, efficiency and appropriate response to the identified needs and report immediately.
∎ Supervision and on the job capacity building of MTs, Teachers of education partners.
∎ Monitoring, Documentation and Reporting:
∎ Ensure relevant breakdown of data in documentation and Training/ workshop reports.
∎ Ensure the data consolidation and archiving from the very beginning of joining.
∎ External Coordination:
∎ In coordination with TM, provide training to other external partners.
∎ Take lead monthly sharing on case study, gaps, challenges, way forwards.
∎ Coordinate with MTs and support them in implementing their after-training action plan.
∎ Be caring, compassionate and maintain good communication with beneficiaries at all times.
∎ Demonstrate an ethic and professional practice.
∎ Respect beneficiaries' confidentiality.
∎ Respect and promote HI's Policies and report to your line manager any non-respect of HI's policies amongst the teams or partners.
∎ Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others.
∎ Always interact with children with the presence of their parents or caregivers.
∎ Always ask the permission to touch or to apply any treatment or mobilizations to someone.
∎ Always respect a refusal of treatment.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ At least 2-year work experience in the same sector.
∎ Proven experience in Training facilitation on IE and training implementation.
∎ Experienced/academically enriched in developing Inclusive Educational Material (IEM), Pedagogy.
∎ Computer knowledge (MS office package- both in English and Bangla).
∎ Experience NGO experience in disability and education.
∎ Experience with Rohingya refugees and host community in Ukhiya and/or Teknaf Upazila.
∎ Able to develop Training Modules and facilitate training to external stakeholders.
∎ Able to work in emergency conditions.
∎ Good analyzing skills.
∎ Strong teamwork approach.
∎ Communication skills in verbal and written Bangla and English.
∎ Knowledge of disability and inclusive education.
∎ Sensitized on issues related to child protection, protection of gender-based violence, etc.
∎ Experienced in implementing inclusive education set up, preferably in the field of Emergency.
∎ Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
∎ Knowledge of the Chittagonian / Rohingya language is a strong asset.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 62758 - 72240 (Monthly)
∎ Hardship Allowance will be added in addition to working in Cox`s Bazar District. Salary will be determined based on experience, qualification, and budget availability.
