Qualifications & Experience

Required Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Education, or related field.

• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in training & development, preferably in retail, cosmetics, or consumer goods.

• Strong facilitation and presentation skills.

• Experience in designing & implementing learning programmed.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication & coaching skills.

• Ability to work cross-functionally, engaging with frontline staff, managers, and senior leadership.

• Familiarity with metrics, evaluation methods, and use of learning technologies.

• Master’s degree (or diploma) in training, organizational development, or similar.

• Experience with online learning platforms/LMS.

• Experience in beauty/cosmetics/skincare industry.

• Multi-lingual skills (Bangla, English; additional local dialects helpful).

• Experience in leadership-development and/or change management.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Some possible KPIs to measure success:

• Number of training sessions delivered per quarter / per staff category

• % of staff completing required trainings on time

• Improvement in sales / customer satisfaction / product knowledge scores after training

• Employee feedback / satisfaction with training programs

• Reduction in error rates, attrition or customer complaints associated with lack of training

• Uptake of development plans among high potentials

Working Conditions

• Mostly office environment; some field or branch / store visits required.

• Occasional travel within Dhaka or other cities if Beautyology has multiple outlets.

• Need to balance training delivery with program design and evaluation tasks.

Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary

The Training & Development Manager will design, deliver, and manage a comprehensive

learning & development strategy to improve staff performance, increase knowledge & skills,

align staff capabilities with Beautyology’s business goals, and foster a culture of continuous

improvement. The role covers from onboarding, ongoing training, performance enhancement,

leadership development, and upskilling across all departments (e.g. sales, product knowledge,

customer service, marketing, operations).

Key Responsibilities

Training Strategy & Planning

• Develop a training & development (T&D) roadmap aligned with

Beautyology’s strategic goals.

• Conduct training needs assessments (TNA) across departments to

identify skill gaps.

• Prioritize training topics (e.g. product knowledge, sales techniques,

customer service, behavior, leadership).

Design & Content Development

• Design curriculum, modules, workshops, e-learning,

classroom-based, on-the-job, etc.

• Create, source, or adapt high-quality training materials

(presentations, handouts, videos, guides).

• Ensure materials are brand aligned and relevant for Bangladesh

context and Beautyology’s product line.

Delivery & Facilitation

• Deliver training sessions myself when needed (product launches, new joiner orientation, soft skills).

• Arrange external trainers / subject matter experts where required.

• Ensure learning is engaging, interactive, measurable.

Staff Development & Performance

• Work with line managers to integrate training into

performance management.

• Support individual development plans (IDPs) for high potential

staff.

• Mentor/coaching for managers and key roles to build

leadership capability.

Evaluation & Metrics

• Develop KPIs and metrics to measure training effectiveness (e.g. pre-/post training assessments, impact on sales/customer satisfaction, Ncapability improvements).

• Regularly review & report on training outcomes to senior management.

• Use feedback from learners to continuously refine/ improve programs.

Budget & Resource Management

• Manage T&D budget; ensure cost-effective sourcing of training

resources.

• Maintain inventory of training tools/materials.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure all staff receive mandatory compliance training (product safety, customer policies, etc.).

• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements in beauty/retail sector.
