Required Skills & Knowledge (Entry-Level):

• Technical Fundamentals

• Basic understanding of data concepts (tables, schemas, ETL/ELT)

• Foundational knowledge of SQL

• Awareness of cloud and analytics concepts

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Technology Specialist – Microsoft Data & AI who is eager to build a career in data engineering, analytics, and AI solutions using Microsoft technologies. This role provides hands-on exposure to Azure data services, analytics platforms, reporting tools, and foundational AI concepts, working under the guidance of senior data engineers and architects.

The trainee will support real-world data integration, analytics, and reporting projects, contributing to data-driven decision-making and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Data Platform Fundamentals

• Assist in managing and querying Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance

• Support Azure Synapse Analytics (dedicated & serverless – basic usage)

• Assist in data storage using Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2

• Perform basic data modeling and schema design tasks

Data Integration & Processing

• Assist in building and monitoring Azure Data Factory pipelines

• Support data ingestion from multiple sources (databases, files, APIs – basic)

• Assist with data transformation and validation processes

• Monitor data pipelines and resolve basic failures

Analytics & Reporting

• Assist in creating Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards

• Support data visualization and basic DAX measures

• Ensure data accuracy and report performance

AI & Advanced Analytics (Foundational)

• Gain exposure to Azure Machine Learning and AI workloads

• Assist in basic model experimentation and data preparation

• Learn responsible AI and data governance principles

Operations, Support & Learning

• Support data platform monitoring and performance tuning (basic)

• Assist in data security, access control, and compliance tasks

• Maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and pipeline records
