Context:

• Betopia Limited is looking for a motivated and technically enthusiastic Trainee System Engineer – Server & Infrastructure to join our Infrastructure team. This role offers structured training and hands-on exposure in enterprise server platforms, operating systems, virtualization, storage, backup, and infrastructure monitoring solutions.

• The candidate will work under senior system engineers and gain practical experience in enterprise environments including Dell and HPE servers, Windows & Linux operating systems, virtualization platforms, enterprise storage, backup systems, and observability tools.

• This position is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals who want to build a career in Data Center, Server Administration, and Infrastructure Engineering.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Server Infrastructure (Dell / HPE):

• Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of Dell & HPE rack/blade servers.

• Support hardware health monitoring and firmware updates.

• Assist in RAID configuration and hardware troubleshooting.

• Support data center rack setup and structured infrastructure tasks.

2. Operating Systems (Windows & Linux):

• Assist in installation and configuration of Windows Server environments.

• Support Active Directory basic configuration and user management.

• Assist in Linux Server installation (RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu).

• Perform basic patching, updates, and system monitoring.

• Support file services, DNS, DHCP, and basic system services.

3. Virtualization Platforms:

• Assist in deployment and management of:

• Microsoft Hyper-V.

• VMware vSphere / ESXi.

• Red Hat Virtualization (if applicable).

• Support VM creation, snapshot management, and resource allocation.

• Assist in virtual networking configuration.

• Monitor virtualization performance and resource usage.

4. Enterprise Storage (Dell / HPE / NetApp):

• Assist in SAN/NAS storage configuration.

• Support LUN creation and storage allocation.

• Monitor storage performance and capacity utilization.

• Assist in storage troubleshooting and expansion tasks.

5. Backup & Disaster Recovery:

• Assist in configuration and monitoring of backup solutions (Dell / HPE / Veeam).

• Monitor daily backup job status and reporting.

• Assist in backup restoration testing.

• Support basic DR planning and documentation.

6. Observability & Monitoring Tools:

• Assist in configuration and monitoring using SolarWinds and ManageEngine tools.

• Monitor server performance (CPU, Memory, Disk, Network).

• Generate basic health and availability reports.

• Escalate alerts and incidents to senior engineers.
