Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or any relevant discipline.
MBA/Master's degree in Marketing or Management will be an advantage.
Typically 2–3 years of relevant experience in sales, preferably in the motorcycle, automobile, automotive parts, or related industry.
Experience in dealer management, retail sales, territory management, and market development will be preferred.
The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) will be responsible for achieving motorcycle sales targets, developing and managing the dealer network, expanding market coverage, and increasing the company's market share within the assigned territory. The position requires extensive fieldwork, strong dealer relationships, market analysis, and effective execution of sales and promotional strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual motorcycle sales targets for the assigned territory.
Manage, develop, and maintain strong relationships with authorized dealers and sub-dealers.
Identify and appoint potential new dealers to expand market coverage.
Monitor dealer-wise and model-wise sales performance and take corrective actions where required.
Drive secondary/retail sales through dealers and ensure regular product availability.
Conduct frequent market and dealer visits to monitor sales, stock, showroom activities, and customer demand.
Develop new markets and identify opportunities for increasing motorcycle penetration.
Monitor competitors' pricing, products, offers, promotions, dealer activities, and market strategies.
Implement company-approved sales campaigns, promotional activities, branding, and merchandising programs.
Train and motivate dealer sales teams on product features, customer handling, and sales techniques.
Monitor dealer inventory and coordinate with relevant teams to maintain optimum stock levels.
Support dealers in resolving sales, service, documentation, and customer-related issues.
Monitor customer feedback and ensure proper resolution of complaints in coordination with the service team.
Follow up on motorcycle registration/documentation processes where applicable.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales, stock, market, and competitor reports.
Analyze territory sales data and prepare sales forecasts and action plans.
Ensure compliance with company pricing, branding, sales, and operational policies.
Monitor dealer showroom standards, product display, signage, and promotional materials.
Maintain strong relationships with dealers, customers, and other relevant market stakeholders.
Perform any other sales-related responsibilities assigned by management.
