Matter Solutions is an SEO Agency in Australia. We're looking for a Technical SEO Specialist to run audits and implement fixes for clients around the world.

Background

You will report to the SEO Team's manager, currently the Agency Director, who is based in Australia.

The Role(s)

Follow our procedures and processes to carry out the following:-

• Run technical SEO audits following our established process (Ben's methodology, training provided).

• Diagnose crawl, indexation, site speed, structured data, and on-page issues across client websites.

• Implement fixes directly in WordPress: code-level fixes, theme/plugin issues, schema markup, redirects, site speed, and more.

• Add and optimize content into WordPress, e.g. images, internal links, formatting, etc.

• Use SEO tools (e.g. Ahrefs, GSC) to identify issues and confirm fixes have resolved them.

• Collaborate with the content and guest posting teams to keep technical work aligned with overall SEO goals.

• Work with your Team Lead to improve audit workflows, fix checklists, and processes over time.

Important

• A Web Developer background (HTML/CSS/JS, WordPress/PHP) is strongly preferred: this role is hands-on in the code, not just checklist-driven.

• This role rewards thoroughness and owning what you do: a fix isn't done until it's verified.

• This is a full-time role and we want your full-time focus. No side-jobs allowed.

Secondary: Content SEO Support (desired)

Help the Content team with SEO centric tasks as needed, for example, but not limited to:-

• Finding Content Opportunities (follow procedures)

• Reviewing + Conducting Keyword Research

• Implement On Page SEO Changes (use our AI tools)

• Turning issues into clear tasks for the Content Team
