Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's degree in social science discipline, preferably in Sociology, Development Studies/ Climate Change and Development/ Economics, and any other relevant field.

Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Design and support quality implementation of the climate-induced migration component of the CCSD program that improves the conditions and social position of climate-vulnerable women, girls, and youths.
∎ Build excellent partner relations with local organizations, local government, and the private sector, ensure smooth collaboration processes, and appropriate corrective measures where needed for the implementation.
∎ Elaborate annual plans and budgets for the climate-induced migration component of the program and project as per donor requirements and Helvetas guidelines.
∎ Lead capacity needs assessment of the migration component of the project for the implementing partners, design and develop capacity building plan jointly with the project management team of implementing partners.
∎ Hands-on support and technical advice to the project team for implementation of the activities on the migration component of the project.
∎ Monitor activities per the log frame and take corrective measures in collaboration with the MEAL Expert and the project team. Support in timely and sound reporting following donor and HELVETAS guidelines.
∎ Link community/grassroots initiatives with sub-national level institutions and liaise with local and regional research institutions, youth platforms, and Climate Change networks.
∎ Identify advocacy and policy dialogue issues and opportunities at local and sub-national levels to promote Climate-induced migration.
∎ Document and share lessons learned and best practices from the ground, connect and engage with networks, platforms, and stakeholders at local and sub-national levels that are relevant and important in climate-induced migration.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 23 years
∎ A minimum of 3-5 years experience in the Climate Change/ Environment/ Disaster Risk Reduction sector with reputed national and international organizations working in Bangladesh.
∎ Experience in partnership management/ working with partners on technical aspects.
∎ Experience in capacity-building, understanding the adult learning process, education and training methodologies, and excellent facilitation skills.
∎ Oral and written communication skills to deal effectively with organizational management and staff, volunteers, relevant government agencies, and donors.
∎ Willing to undertake regular field visits and interact with stakeholders, especially primary ones.
∎ Good in both written and spoken English.
∎ Experience of working in migration/ climate-induced migration will be a valuable advantage.

Salary:
∎ Helvetas offer attractive salary package along with other benefits as such seniority bonus, festival bonus, provident fund, gratuity, medical insurance and communication allowance. Additionally, Helvetas has 2 days weekend, 25 days annual leave, 15 days sick leave yearly, maternity/ paternity leave, public holidays as per the policy.
