Responsibilities & Context:
This position is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the Cold Pad Batch dyeing process within the textile mill. This role involves managing the technical aspects of CPB dyeing, ensuring precise color application, and maintaining high standards of dye quality.
Supervise and control CPB dyeing operations during shifts to achieve production and quality targets, ensuring proper preparation, application, and monitoring of dyeing processes for required shade accuracy and fabric quality.
Achieve RFT targets through effective quality control, maintain lab-to-bulk and bulk-to-bulk consistency, ensure compliance with RSL/ZDHC standards, and follow approved recipes and process parameters in coordination with the lab.
Identify and resolve shade variation and color matching issues, and verify fabric test results (washing, rubbing, light, perspiration) to meet customer requirements.
Follow SOPs, machine settings, and process controls to ensure efficient production; prepare and maintain process documentation and dyeing sheets.
Monitor chemical and water consumption for cost efficiency and sustainability, and conduct basic risk assessments related to process, chemicals, and machinery.
Participate in production and quality meetings, report shift performance, support team training on processes, safety, and 5S, ensure HSE compliance, and coordinate with maintenance for proper machine performance and calibration.
