Job Context:
∎ Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 273 upazilas under 49 districts of Bangladesh covering over 8.46 million poor and vulnerable people.
∎ As partnership with CARE Bangladesh, ESDO is implementing the Strengthening Household Ability to Respond to Development Opportunities (SHOUHARDO III) program funded by USAID and GoB in Bakshiganj & Islampur Upazila of Jamalpur District. ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the following position.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Technical Officer-Agriculture Livelihoods &Resilience (TO-AL&R) is responsible for capacity building of the Field Trainer-Agriculture Livelihoods & Resilience (FT-AL&R) and providing them on the job support and concerned Community Leaders to better understand the SHOUHARDO III Program goal, purposes, strategies, field modules and guidelines etc., and be able to implement activities in an integrated, qualitative and sustainable manner.
∎ The TO-AL&R will be responsible to link the communities with the relevant government, NGO, UP, UDMC, school and private sector actors.
∎ S/he will also make sample checks of the FTs’ works to ensure integration, quality implementation and impact of program activities in the field.
∎ TO-AL&R is responsible to prepare plan and quality implementation of Agriculture Livelihoods & Resilience activities.
∎ Anticipates, identifies and remedies on-going implementation challenges and necessary adjustments for greater impact and identifies and builds internal and external networks necessary for peer, technical, scale up, advocacy, sustainability and other appropriate purposes.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Computer skill specially MS Office and using Internet tools
∎ Good communication and facilitation capacity
∎ Ability to maintain liaison with the Upazila level government and non-government officials like Upazila Agriculture Officer, Upazila Livestock Officer, Upazila Fisheries Officer, seed dealer, research organization etc. and also elected representatives both uoazila and union level.
∎ Experience in working with the multi-interventions program.
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla
∎ Ability to prepare monthly, quarterly and Annual Result Report, case study, weekly field visit findings and actions taken
∎ Make effective linkage with Upazila level government and NGO officials, and other relevant actors as appropriate
∎ Willing to drive motorcycle and should have valid driving license.

Salary:
∎ Monthly gross salary Tk. 31,298/-
