Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct in-depth research on climate justice and governance issues, policy frameworks, international agreements, and best practices.
∎ Stay updated on the latest developments and emerging trends in climate justice and governance.
∎ Contribute to the development of climate policy proposals and recommendations.
∎ Collaborate with stakeholders (government agencies, NGOs, communities) for inclusive policy formulation.
∎ Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant organizations and community groups.
∎ Design and deliver training programs on climate justice and governance.
∎ Provide technical assistance to enhance understanding and implementation.
∎ Develop and implement advocacy strategies to raise awareness on climate justice.
∎ Develop indicators and mechanisms for monitoring climate justice and governance initiatives.
∎ Conduct regular evaluations to assess policy effectiveness and recommend improvements.

∎ We are seeking a highly qualified Technical Expert - Climate Justice & Governance to join the HELVETAS Bangladesh under the ACCESS project, bringing expertise in climate justice, governance, and policy research. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, research, and stakeholder engagement skills. With demonstrated experience in policy development, advocacy, and capacity-building, the candidate will conduct in-depth research, develop policy recommendations, and coordinate knowledge-sharing initiatives. The candidate should be proficient in data analysis, report writing, and training facilitation, along with the ability to collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and community groups. A proactive, reliable, and results-oriented professional, the candidate will play a key role in enhancing climate governance efforts through strategic knowledge management and advocacy.
