Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop concepts, approaches, strategies and guidelines in relation to nutrition sensitive pro poor value chain development, and promote supply chain of WASH and DNI products;
∎ Provide technical support and backstopping to district base Assistant Technical Coordinators (ATC) to promote nutrition sensitive agriculture and livestock value chain development, and to promote WASH and DNI products in project locations;
∎ Lead engagement public and private sector including financial sector service providers at national level and technical support to district technical units specifically the ATCs to do similar engagement at district and upazila level, and capacity building of network of private local service providers;
∎ Support project team in exchanging knowledge and learning, and take lead for experience capitalization of project;
∎ Ensure reports are objective, accurate, transparent and timely in coordination with the project team and project reporting requirements, and updates accurate information about the project on websites and brochures;
∎ Support ATC-VCD & Market to implement village based DRR planning exercise through implementing partner NGOs;
∎ Participate in relevant networks and working groups at national and international level and coordinate with media as needed for coverage of project learning in electronic media and print articles
∎ Participate in review, monitoring and evaluation processes of implemented activities/ partnerships in collaboration with the M&E team managed by lead agency of LEAN project
∎ Supervise Helvetas project staff, ensure compliance to HR policies and guidelines, including Code of Conduct;
∎ Manage and ensure sound financial and administrative processes for Helvetas components in project including funding disbursements to implementing partners following Helvetas Bangladesh related policies in collaboration with the Finance and Administration unit;
∎ With the guidance of LEAN project Director, Develop capacity and support the District Managers in enabling the implementing partners (in Bandarban and Rangamati) are to implement project interventions and financial activities, take corrective measures where necessary;
Additional Requirements:
∎ Additional degree or other education related to nutrition science and or nutrition governance would be added advantage
∎ At least 10 years' experience with in implementation of VCD and market system development project in Bangladesh
∎ Basic training on VCD and market system development including private sector engagement, M4P, Livelihoods strategies, and access to finance
∎ Excellent knowledge of VCD, market system development, private sector engagement, and livelihoods approaches
∎ Have knowledge on related government policies and code of conduct
∎ .Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions with limited supervision
∎ Excellent communication (written and oral) in English, negotiation and interpersonal skills
∎ Proficient IT user including MS office mandatory
∎ Experience in capacity building, mentoring and managing staff.
∎ Experience in managing multi-sectoral programmes and managing teams in different locations.
∎ Able to work independently while being a strong team player
∎ Ability to work in unstable security environments and to adapt to basic living conditions
∎ Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions with limited supervision
∎ Creative and able to work with limited resources
Salary:
∎ Attractive compensation and benefits (monthly salary rage; BDT 160,000/- to 200,000/- including PF, Gratuity and Bonus depending on candidate experiences and capacity).
