Job Context:
∎ Handicap International- Humanity & Inclusion (HI) has been working in Bangladesh since 1997, focusing on creating sustainable changes to ensure the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities in society. HI is an independent and impartial aid organization working in Bangladesh in poverty, exclusion, conflict, and disaster situations. With projects in different districts of the country, HI works not only with people with disabilities and other vulnerable populations, but also with their families, their communities, and local humanitarian actors in order to respond to their essential needs, improve their living conditions, promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights, and provide sustainability in its action. As one of the key organizations in the disability sector, HI has a wide range of projects which assist in promoting the inclusion of persons with disabilities and their issues in emergency and development contexts, building capacities of local stakeholders, and reducing the impact of natural and human-made disasters. Particularly in Cox`s Bazar district, HI is providing services in rehabilitation, MH/PSS, SRH, protection, and inclusive education with an inclusion mainstreaming approach to refugees and host populations affected by the forcibly displaced undocumented Myanmar nationals. HI`s multi-sectoral mobile units (MU) and static method are currently working in 15 camps located in both Teknaf and Ukhiya Upazilas and surrounding host areas providing comprehensive services in physical rehabilitation, primary health care, protection, and MHPSS.
∎ HI is currently implementing a development and humanitarian response project in Kurigram, and Cox`s Bazar district through 4 project offices (Kurigram, Ukhiya, and Teknaf) and 2 coordination offices (Dhaka and Cox Bazar).
∎ Operational Thematic: Livelihood, Health and Rehabilitation, Protection, Inclusion, Education, and Atlas Logistics
∎ Number of staff: Around 294 National staff and 06 international staff
∎ HI, is looking for a Team Manager for its Integrated Protection Services for Rohingya Refugees project funded by UNHCR. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Team Manager contributes to implementing the mandate and the 10-year strategy of Humanity & Inclusion in the country where s/he is based. The Team Manager contributes to the implementation of his/her project, ensuring the optimal quality and impact of the project. S/he works closely with the programme technical team and support services. S/he is the direct manager of a project team.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Mission 1: Management
∎ Manager as a role model: embody HI's values on a daily basis, and be a role model.
∎ Manager as a coach for meaning: understand the strategy, make it explicit, translate it into operational objectives for his or her team, and lead the necessary changes. Give importance to each management action. Encourage inter and intra-departmental exchanges of practice. Encourage innovation and risk-taking.
∎ Operational manager: organize the operational management of his or her team, structure the work around identified processes, steering performance, and facilitate the resolution of problems.
∎ First HR & Coach: contribute to the development of his or her staff, creating the conditions for their commitment, professionalism, and attachment to HI. Ensure compliance with the code of conduct and institutional policies, the mindset, and expected individual and collective behavior.
∎ Mission 2: Operational implementation
∎ Responsibility 1: Contribute to project planning and implementation in line with the existing frameworks
∎ Contribute to planning and preparing activities, tools, and the associated resources, and implement the action plan in conjunction with the support services and the technical unit.
∎ Ensure that activities are implemented and that resources are correctly allocated as authorized by the project manager.
∎ Ensure regular reporting of activities, and contribute to the internal and external reporting as requested by the project manager.
∎ Contribute to identifying areas of the project in which adjustments are required and put forward adaptations to the project manager.
∎ Contribute to the drafting of amendment requests when asked by the project manager.
∎ Contribute to coordination with the local stakeholders and monitoring the partnership relationship with the project partners.
∎ Ensure that project documents and information are properly archived.
∎ Responsibility 2: Contribute to project monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning
∎ Contribute to project monitoring, specifically activity progress indicators and the expected outcomes.
∎ Contribute to project evaluations at the request of the project manager, and ensure that project evaluation recommendations are followed.
∎ Contribute to the setup and smooth running of accountability mechanisms.
∎ Contribute to project learning.
∎ Responsibility 3: Ensure project data management
∎ Ensure that the appropriate data collection and management tools are in place and are used correctly on the project, in line with global standards.
∎ Collect and compile project-related data in the relevant database.
∎ Responsibility 4: Contribute to the coordination of project teams
∎ As authorized by the project manager, facilitate coordination meetings between the project teams and the support services located in the area, as and when necessary.
∎ Ensure that the project teams and the support teams (shared and technical services, in particular) work well together in
∎ order to facilitate the implementation of the project in the country.
∎ Responsibility 5: Contribute to external project communication
∎ Contribute to HI’s external influence by taking part in networks, when required.
∎ Communicate about the project to partners, authorities, and stakeholders when relevant.
∎ Mission 3: Emergency Preparedness and Response
∎ Contribute to the programme’s emergency preparedness initiatives, and in an emergency situation, adapt his/her working arrangements in order to contribute to an effective humanitarian response from HI.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ At least 4 years of experience working in the humanitarian and development field.
∎ At least 2 years experience in the field and project supervision, including team supervision /support in field-level coordination/planning and monitoring.
∎ Excellent facilitation, and representation skills (training, awareness session, CwC), etc.
∎ Ability to lead and guide the team with strong team management and teamwork approach.
∎ Proven good analytical and activity planning skills.
∎ Good communication skills in both verbal and written in Bangla and English.
∎ Availability to travel to remote areas and spend time at field level. Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural team environment/context.
∎ Ability to communicate and coordinate smoothly externally and represent the humanitarian mandate of an NGO.
∎ Computer knowledge (MS Office package- both in English and Bangla).
∎ Experience working in a remote community/camp setting is an advantage.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 83311 - 92252 (Monthly)
