Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Greet students warmly and help them settle into the classroom environment.
∎ Build rapport and create a positive classroom culture.
∎ Foster strong English communication skills through reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities.
∎ Encourage participation in discussions, presentations, and storytelling to build confidence.
∎ Monitor students’ hygiene practices, such as handwashing, and promote cleanliness in the classroom.
∎ Be attentive to students’ well-being and respond promptly to signs of illness or discomfort.
∎ Design and deliver age-appropriate lessons across subjects with a focus on English, mathematics, and social studies.
∎ Integrate creative and interactive methods, such as storytelling, role-playing, and games, to enhance engagement.
∎ Teach essential life skills such as teamwork, empathy, and conflict resolution.
∎ Provide individualized attention to students needing additional emotional or academic support.
∎ Organize and supervise indoor and outdoor activities to support physical, social, and cognitive development.
∎ Encourage participation in group games, art projects, and hands-on learning experiences.
∎ Maintain an organized, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
∎ Guide students in tidying up after activities and teach responsibility.
∎ Regularly assess students’ academic and social development.
∎ Document progress, challenges, and notable achievements to share with parents and school leadership.
∎ Build strong relationships with parents by providing updates on students’ performance, behaviour, and milestones.
∎ Address concerns or queries with professionalism and empathy.
∎ Ensure the safety of all students by maintaining a vigilant and secure classroom environment.
∎ Conduct regular attendance checks and address any safety concerns promptly.
∎ Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (required).
∎ Proven experience teaching at the primary school level.
∎ Exceptional English & Bangla communication skills, both verbal and written.
∎ Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
∎ Creativity, patience, and a passion for working with young learners.
∎ Experience in singing and playing instruments a definite plus.
∎ Experience integrating technology into teaching.
∎ Familiarity with innovative e teaching methodologies for young children.
∎ Excellent collaborative work environment.
∎ Enjoy up to 3 months of annual holidays (including government holidays).
∎ Short work week. Typically 8am - 2:30pm. Although some after-hours maybe needed depending on the school year.
