Responsibilities & Context:

  • Achieve assigned Trade Finance, Transaction Banking, and Fee Income targets.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase trade business volumes.

  • Acquire New-to-Bank (NTB) commercial and corporate customers.

  • Identify opportunities for Import Finance, Export Finance, Inland Trade Services, Supply Chain Finance, Receivable Financing, Distributor Financing, Bank Guarantees, Standby Letters of Credit, Structured Trade Solutions

  • Increase market share in trade-related banking services.

  • Generate sustainable non-funded income through transaction banking products.

  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and conversion ratio.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key client decision-makers.

  • Act as the primary Trade Banking contact for assigned customers.

  • Conduct regular client visits and business reviews.

  • Understand clients' business models, supply chains, and working capital cycles.

  • Identify customer pain points and recommend suitable transaction banking solutions.

  • Enhance client satisfaction and strengthen long-term relationships.

  • Build strategic partnership with key industry and regulatory bodies such as BASIS, BCCI, JCCI, BIDA, BEZA, BEPZA, other relevant organizations to on board major international clients under Foreign Desk Coverage: China, Japan, Korea etc Corridors.

  • Book new clients for Cash Management Solutions (Collection Solutions, Payment Solutions, Virtual Accounts, Payroll Services, Liquidity Management, Escrow Services, Digital Banking Platforms, Online Trade Platforms)

  • Identify and develop target markets including Government, Semi-Government, Autonomous bodies, Government utility service providers, Large Local and Multinational Corporates, Capital Market entities (Securities Companies, IPOs, Dividend businesses), Insurance, NGOs, Education, Healthcare, Fuel & Power, Food, and Telecommunication sectors to align customized collection and payment solutions, enrich the deposit portfolio, pursue growth opportunities, increase wallet share of existing clients, and maintain a low cost of funds.

  • Achieve budgeted targets and maximize the Bank’s earning opportunities through mobilization of CASA, SND, Special Transactional Accounts, FDRs, and other liability products.
