Context:

• Betopia Limited is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented System Engineer – Server & Infrastructure to design, implement, manage, and support enterprise server and data center environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in enterprise servers, operating systems, virtualization platforms, storage solutions, backup systems, and infrastructure monitoring tools.

• This role involves implementation of customer projects, infrastructure optimization, troubleshooting, and operational support across enterprise environments.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Server Infrastructure (Dell / HPE):

• Install, configure, and maintain Dell and HPE rack/blade servers.

• Perform firmware upgrades and hardware health monitoring.

• Configure RAID, storage controllers, and server BIOS settings.

• Troubleshoot hardware-level issues and coordinate OEM support.

• Support data center rack deployment and infrastructure setup.

2. Operating Systems (Windows & Linux):

• Install, configure, and manage Windows Server environments.

• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and File Services.

• Install and administer Linux servers (RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu).

• Perform patch management and OS hardening.

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot OS-level issues.

3. Virtualization Platforms:

• Deploy and manage Microsoft Hyper-V environments.

• Configure and administer VMware vSphere / ESXi clusters.

• Manage virtual machines, snapshots, resource pools, and HA settings.

• Perform VM migrations and capacity optimization.

• Support Red Hat Virtualization (if applicable).

4. Enterprise Storage (Dell / HPE / NetApp):

• Configure SAN/NAS storage solutions.

• Manage LUN provisioning, zoning, and storage allocation.

• Monitor storage performance and capacity planning.

• Support storage expansion and troubleshooting.

5. Backup & Disaster Recovery:

• Configure and manage backup solutions (Dell / HPE / Veeam).

• Monitor daily backup operations and reporting.

• Perform restoration testing and recovery drills.

• Assist in Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and documentation.

6. Observability & Monitoring:

• Configure and monitor infrastructure using SolarWinds and ManageEngine.

• Monitor server performance (CPU, Memory, Disk, Network).

• Generate performance and availability reports.

• Investigate alerts and resolve incidents within SLA timelines.

7. Project & Operational Responsibilities:

• Participate in infrastructure design and solution implementation.

• Prepare technical documentation (HLD, LLD, SOPs, As-Built).

• Provide L2 support and escalation handling.

• Coordinate with networking and security teams for integrated deployments.

• Ensure system uptime and compliance with best practices.
