Responsibilities & Context:

1. Store Operations

·         Oversee daily store operations to ensure efficiency and discipline

·         Ensure store opening and closing procedures are followed properly

·         Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards across the store

·         Ensure proper product display and visual merchandising

2. Sales & Performance Management

·         Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets

·         Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports

·         Implement promotional activities and in-store offers

·         Monitor competitor pricing and market trends

3. Inventory & Stock Management

·         Ensure accurate stock receiving, storage, and issuing

·         Monitor stock levels and place purchase requisitions timely

·         Control stock expiry, damage, and wastage (especially perishables)

·         Reduce shrinkage, pilferage, and operational losses

4. Staff Management

·         Recruit, train, and schedule store staff

·         Monitor staff attendance, performance, and discipline

·         Conduct regular briefings and on-the-job training

·         Ensure proper customer service behavior by all employees

5. Customer Service

·         Ensure high-quality customer service and complaint resolution

·         Handle customer feedback and implement improvements

·         Maintain a welcoming and customer-friendly environment

6. Cash & Financial Control

·         Supervise daily cash handling and closing procedures

·         Ensure accurate billing, refunds, and exchange processes

·         Monitor expenses and control operational costs

·         Coordinate with accounts department for reports and audits

7. Compliance & Reporting

·         Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and local regulations

·         Prepare and submit daily operational reports

·         Support internal and external audits

·         Ensure fire safety and emergency procedures are followed
