• Minimum 1 year of experience in construction/infrastructure projects preferably in humanitarian or development projects in emergency contexts or NGO sector.

• Good knowledge of inventory management and record-keeping

• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word).

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work in challenging field environments.

• Honest, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality.

• Ability to work in challenging environments and remote camp locations



Responsibilities & Context:

ESDO was established in 1988 with the aim of supporting poor and marginalized people affected by the devastating flood and gradually moving towards achieving a broader vision of achieving sustainable, secured, and resilient livelihoods for these poor and marginalized people through improving their overall sustainable development. For the last more than three and a half decades of its development journey, ESDO has set an outstanding example of a sustainable development model for the underprivileged communities of Bangladesh. ESDO has been working in the country's primarily unserved and underserved locations, nurturing a community-focused participatory approach and people's ownership. Consequently, the ESDO's working area has already established an enabling environment. We have made notable achievements in livelihood improvement, food security and nutrition, education, women's empowerment, health, the promotion of children's rights, adolescent and youth engagement, and the rights of ethnic minorities. During this long span, we have adapted to the changing situation and provided the most time-bound effective services, especially to the poor and disadvantaged people. Considering the government's development policies, we are currently implementing a considerable number of projects and programs, including a microfinance program, through a community-focused and people-centered approach to accomplish the government's development agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN as a whole. One of the most dynamic organizations, ESDO, is expanding its development interventions across 408 upazilas under 53 districts of Bangladesh, thereby reaching over 15 million impoverished and vulnerable individuals.

ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the following position.

Project Duration: 03 months (May have possibility to extend based on Donor confirmation)

Job Responsibilities:

The Storekeeper – Warehouse will have responsibility for receiving, stacking and dispatch good following up on Concern Policies & Procedure in close coordination with logistics team in Cox’s Bazar.

Liaises with:

The Storekeeper - Warehouse will work closely with Logistics Team in Coordination with program team.

Main duties & responsibilities:

• Ensure the timely delivery of project inputs to intended beneficiaries and safe receipt at various stages of distribution.

• Ensure the proper stacking, documentation and identification of goods before any supplies dispatch in done for onward transportation to the beneficiaries/ partners.

• Update record of all the project materials received and dispatched including ensuring updated file of all transaction.

• Maintain and keep secure the warehouse goods in proper way.

• In coordination with logistics Assistant, ensure communication of material movement details to relevant parties.

• Day to day updates stock list of all itemsand keeping a log of distribution;

• Supervise project’s messengers and security guards;

• Ensure the stock management of warehouses including inventory and ensuring update of the stock cards and all warehouse process.

• Prepare monthly stock reports as per Concern warehouse procedure

• Check accuracy of the consumption report compared with current stock.

• Ensure safe storage of food and nutrition supplies at warehouse and ensure that transport is provided to collect surplus nutrition supplies after distribution

• Timely report any stock issues to the Logistics Officer/Manager and ensure an uninterrupted supply chain to beneficiaries at the field level

• Ensure all stock and dispatch items/ goods/ supplies are recorded properly.

• Verify the stock figures on the cards and ensure that all stock items are in the warehouse and have stock cards.

• Ensure that services are delivered with maximum efficiency that beneficiaries are treated with respect at all times

• Enable a friendly collaborative working culture within the team, actively sharing information and knowledge to enable the team to ensure effective learning and sharing across the team

• Be aware of, understand and comply with all of Concern’s policies and procedures

Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the line manager.
