Experience:

• At least 1 year
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Hospital

1.      B.Sc/Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery / Orthopedic.

2.      1 year experience in reputed hospital/Cardiac Centre.

3.      Candidates having experience in Cardiac Surgery Unit (CSOT, CSICU), Cardiology Unit (CCU, Cath lab), Neurosurgery & Vascular Surgery Units may be preferred.

Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel) is preferable.

Job Summery: 

As Staff Nurse the incumbent, under general supervision of the charge nurse, is responsible to the Nursing Superintendent for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual care plans, He/she carry out patient care and co- ordinate with related departments within limits of patient care issue in a particular shift. He/she will be responsible for assessing patient’s needs of personal hygiene, scheduling appointments, ordering and administering medication as prescribed and attends to all other needs of the patient.

Essential Function:

1.      Provides general nursing care to patients in the Attend promptly to the patient in ICU, CCU, SD ICU/CCU, Cardiac operation Theatre, Cath. Lab. OPD, OBS WARD /CABIN, Cardiology ward, Surgery General Ward, Cardiac Emergency as assigned using sound judgment2. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approval nursing techniques.

3.      Implements Physicians orders in a safe and accurate manner. Transcribes and implements new Physicians orders.

4.      Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination of patients and treatments

5.      Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.

6.      Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure and other vital sign to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patients.

7.      Maintains detailed and accurate records of nursing actions.

8.      Assists with admitting, discharging and transferring patients

9.      Prepares room, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and hand items to physicians.

10.  Makes beds, bath, feed to the patients, and attend to their personal hygiene needs including toilet needs.

11.  Adapts to the needs of the ward / cabins by demonstrating flexibility/adaptability.

12.  Participates in health/ therapeutic counseling, teaching and emotional support of Patients and their near relations.

13.  Maintains a safe and clean environment for patient and co-workers.

14.  Provides and receives reports on status of patients at the change of shifts.

15.  Perform s all other duties as assigned by the charge nurse or other superior
